CARL E. "Carty" FILBRUN

Age 76, of New Carlisle, OH, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, October 21, 2016, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 22, 1940, the son of the late Theodore R. and Lean T. (Cost) Filbrun.

Carty was a farmer until he went to work for Navistar, where he retired after 35 years of service.
He was a volunteer fireman with Pike Township Fire and Rescue for 58 years.
He was a very engaged father and grandfather, always wanting to spend time with his family.

Carty is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sara "Sally"; daughters, Alicia (Curt) Sagraves and Renee (Steve) Conley; grandchildren, Scarlett, Paleeza, Talent, Renni, Skylar, Trevor, Morgan, Ryan and Meghan; brothers, Richard (Darlene) Filbrun and Kenneth (Cindy) Filbrun; sister, Janet Knife; twin sister, Carryl (Bob) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Judy, Patti (Steve); brother-in-law, Dan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
