     Theodore C. Francies was born on 29 December 1852 at Huntington Co., IN.¹ He was the son of William F. Francies and Sarah Ann Palmer.¹ Theodore C. Francies married Sarah J. Freel, daughter of Andrew Jackson Freel and Mary Ann Nutter, on 17 November 1887 at Huntington Co., IN. Theodore C. Francies died on 3 December 1928 at Roanoke, Huntington Co., IN, at age 75.

Private graveside inurnment services for Elizabeth Francis Jacobs, 107, Lawrence, KS, are planned for a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK. She died Friday, May 18, 2012, at her home in the Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

Mrs. Jacobs was born on July 13, 1904, in Marble Falls, TX, the daughter of Carl and Charlotte Elizabeth (Spence) Francis. She graduated from Marble Falls High School, and attended Southwestern College, Georgetown, TX. She became a private piano teacher and taught students in her home for 65 years. She lived in San Antonio, TX, Sonora, TX, Marfa, TX, and Pauls Valley, OK, before moving to Lawrence in 1990.

At the time of her death, she was the oldest resident of Brandon Woods Retirement Community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, and Chapter GQ of the PEO Sisterhood. In Pauls Valley, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pauls Valley Music Club, and PEO.

She married Robert William Jacobs in Sonora, TX, on June 12, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert W. Jacobs, and his wife Sheryl, of Lawrence; two nieces, Linda Robel of Des Moines, IA, and Juanita Ivy, of San Antonio; and three grandchildren, Robert K. Jacobs and his wife, Michelle, Wichita, Jennifer E. Higdon and her husband, Andrew, Denver, and David A. Jacobs, Denver, and four great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association or the First United Methodist Church of Lawrence.

Jason R. Francis, 23, of Washington C.H., died unexpectedly on December 4, 2012 following an automobile accident. He was born on September 8, 1989, in Columbus, the son of Gregg Francis and the former Cynthia Fuller.

He is survived by his father; Gregg A. Francis of Chillicothe, his mother; Cynthia Francis of Frankfort, one sister; Amanda Francis of Frankfort, girlfriend; Elisha Strous of Washington C.H., paternal grandmother; Eva Francis of Chillicothe, maternal grandmother; Joanne Fuller of Frankfort, nephews; Dakota and Dylan, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and his special hunting friend; Bernie Rutherford. Jason was loved by everyone. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Robert Francis, maternal grandfather; Lyle Fuller, and two cousins; Bobbi Jo Hardesty and Shane Gault.

Jason attended the Adena High School, Frankfort. He was a member of the 4H Ragged Ridge Ramblers, and loved to work on cars. He played several years of softball, football and basketball, and he loved to hunt. The family would like to thank the Concord EMS.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 pm.
