Mrs. Elizabeth Franklin
Mrs. Elizabeth C. Franklin, nee Gallagher, Westminster road, Reisterstown, died in a Washington D.C., hospital on Saturday, March 13, after a short illness. Funeral services were held from the Newell funeral home, Pikesville, Monday, March 15, at 9:30 a. m. followed by a high mass of requiem in St. Charles' Catholic church, Pikesville, at 10 a. m. Burial was made in Druid Ridge cemetery, Pikesville. Mrs. Franklin had been spending the winter at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Elkins, Chevy Chase, Md., when she was suddenly taken ill. She was transported to a Washington hospital where she died a few days later. Besides her daughter, she is survived by two sons, Wade J. Franklin, U. S. Navy, New Orleans, La., and Howard Franklin, Pikesville.
She was buried in March 1943 at Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, Baltimore Co., MD, Findagrave #204293972.
