Leonodus Gebhart was born in West Sonora, Preble County, Ohio, the eldest child of three born to George W. Gebhart and Amanda Wolf; his siblings being: Mary Jane Gebhart and Orange Gebhart.

He was united in marriage to Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Locke on December 20, 1884. Two known children blessed this home, Roy Gebhart and Frank Gebhart.

He died at the young age of 27 years, 07 month, 21 days.

Lloyd H. Gebhart

NEWCOMERSTOWN – Lloyd H. Gebhart, 78, a resident of Ohio Veterans Hospital in Sandusky, formerly Newcomerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1986, at Providence Hospital in Sandusky.

Born Oct. 19, 1908, in Columbus, he was a son of the late Howard C. And Jennie Wilson.

He was a retired steel worker and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Pacific Ocean Front during World War II.

Gebhart was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3463 in Dover; Henry Orme Lodge 458 F&AM; Royal Arch Mason 124; Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite; Perservance Lodge 329 F&AM; Sandusky City Chapter No. 72 Royal Arch Mason; Erie Commandry 23; Zenobia Shrine; Firelands Shrine Club; and Singara Grotto.

Surviving are two grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.

Graveside services and burial will be ocnducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at the East State Street Cemetery in Newcomerstown with the Rev. William Calvert officiating. Military services will be conducted at the gravesite.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ourant Funeral Home in Newcomerstown.
