     George Adkins was born in 1871. He married Mary Ellen Green, daughter of Henry Green and Sarah Jane Murphy, in April 1914. George Adkins was buried in November 1961 at Forest Cemetery, Section 34D 3254, Circleville, Pickaway Co., OH. He died on 24 November 1961.

     Occupation: Mr. Adkins was a farmer for many years. Later in his life he operated a Sohio Service stattion at the cross roads of Route 104 and South Bloomfield Road.
George Lewis Adkins was born on 23 March 1916. He was the son of George Adkins and Mary Ellen Green.

     Hannah Adkins was born on 5 August 1902 at Kentucky. She married Omer M. Caskey. Hannah Adkins was buried in August 2000 at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, Greene Co., OH. She died on 15 August 2001 at Clark Co., OH, at age 99.

     Harvey Adkins was born in September 1872 at Illinois.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas J. Adkins and Dicy Ann Brooks.¹ Harvey Adkins married Sophronia Bragg, daughter of John Wesley Bragg and Hannah Dyson, on 17 May 1896 at Piatt Co., IL.

     Lula Mae Adkins was born on 21 September 1902 at Elliot Co., KY. She was the daughter of Ward L. Adkins and Bertha S. Watkins.¹ Lula Mae Adkins married Arthur Windle, son of Lewis Franklin Windle and Drucilla Van Meter, circa 1918. Lula Mae Adkins married Dennie Evert Adkins on 6 October 1923 at Bellaire, Antrim Co., MI. Lula Mae Adkins married Jesse N. Taylor, In addition to Raymond and Robert Windle, Lula had at least four children with Jesse Taylor. Lula Mae Adkins died on 15 May 1989 at Harris Co., TX, at age 86 Dates per SSDI, last residence Deer Park.

     Marion Herbert Adkins was born on 12 December 1908 at Jasper Co. (probably), IL.¹ He was the son of Harvey Adkins and Sophronia Bragg.¹ Marion Herbert Adkins married Lovetta Nova Merchant, daughter of Rudolph Merchant and Betty Plaster. Marion Herbert Adkins died on 13 January 1986 at Tucson, Pima Co., AZ, at age 77.

     Nancy Adkins was born on 18 August 1913. She married Charles Oliver. Nancy Adkins died on 4 January 1940 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, at age 26.

     Tennyson Adkins married Myrtle Starr, daughter of Jasper Cleveland Starr and Anna Odella Boniphant. Tennyson Adkins was born on 4 June 1908. He died on 18 October 1989 at age 81.

     Thomas J. Adkins was born in May 1832 at West Virginia.¹ He married Dicy Ann Brooks on 10 May 1856 at Jasper Co., IL.

     Vinda Adkins was born on 7 December 1900 at Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Harvey Adkins and Sophronia Bragg.¹ Vinda Adkins died in 1944.

     Virginia Alice Adkins was born on 9 July 1903 at Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Harvey Adkins and Sophronia Bragg.¹ Virginia Alice Adkins died on 1 March 1985 at age 81.

     Ward L. Adkins was born circa 1880 at Kentucky.¹ He married Bertha S. Watkins circa 1897.¹

     Davis Adkinson married Harriet Henton, daughter of Benjamin Henton and Rachel Stinson. Davis Adkinson died at Nevada.

     Robert Adkinson was born in 1972. He died in 1990 Diabetes.

     Frank Adler married Gertrude Russell.

     Frank Justin Adler was born on 22 October 1902 at Massachusetts. He was the son of Frank Adler and Gertrude Russell. Frank Justin Adler married Donna Cora Shappell, daughter of Charles H. Shappell and Clara Estella Jackson, on 1 September 1927 at Lima, Allen Co., OH. Frank Justin Adler died on 21 June 1991 at Medford, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 88.

     Ada Pauline Adolph was born on 28 September 1918 at Osage Co., OK.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Adolph and Lola Larimore.¹ Ada Pauline Adolph married Roy Hutson, son of James Timothy Hutson and Peggy Jane Shannon, on 11 April 1940 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co., OK. Ada Pauline Adolph died on 19 October 1979 at Sacramento Co., CA, at age 61.

     Ardith A. Adolph was born circa September 1927 at Osage Co., OK.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Adolph and Levina Larimore.¹

     Arlene Adolph was born circa 1925 at Kansas.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Adolph and Lola Larimore.¹

     Cloise Warren Adolph was born on 9 November 1920 at Oklahoma.¹ He was the son of William Henry Adolph and Lola Larimore.¹ Cloise Warren Adolph died on 4 October 1993 at Plumas Co., CA, at age 72 Dates per SSDI, last residence Quincy.

     Doris L. Adolph was born on 2 August 1911 at Hominy, Osage Co., OK.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Adolph and Levina Larimore.¹ Doris L. Adolph married Ralph F. Engle on 23 June 1943 at San Diego, San Diego Co., CA. Doris L. Adolph died on 14 March 2002 at Barnsdall Nursing Home, Barnsdall, Osage Co., OK, at age 90 OCNS - March 18, 2002 - Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, for Doris L. Engle, 90, who passed away Thursday, March 14, 2002, in the Barnsdall (Oklahoma) Nursing Home.

Mrs. Engle was born August 2, 1911, in Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joe and Levina (Larimore) Adolph. On June 23, 1943, she married Ralph F. Engle in San Diego, California, and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1986.

Doris was a past member of the Rebecca Lodge where she served as the Past Noble Grand.

Survivors are: Her son, Raymond F. Williams of Pawhuska; two brothers, Eugene Adolph of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, and Lyle Adolph of Turley, Oklahoma; two sisters, Marie Pemberton of Pawhuska, and Falyne Rivers of Peculiar, Missouri; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Muriel and Ardith.

Dr. Jim Chambers will officiate at the services and interment in the
Pawhuska City Cemetery.

EUGENE S. ADOLPH

Longtime Pawhuska resident Eugene S. Adolph passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 in the Barnsdall Nursing Home. He was 91 years old.

Mr. Adolph was born February 1, 1918 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the son of Joseph and Levina (Larimore) Adolph. On December 2, 1940, he married the former Loretta Lucille Mitchell in Pawhuska. She preceded him in death January 23, 1987. Gene had worked for many years in the roofing business. He was a life member of the American Legion.

Surviving are: His two sisters: Marie Pemberton and Frances Falyne Rivera, both of Pawhuska; Numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, at 10:00 AM in the McCartney’s Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jim Chambers, Ed.D, will officiate. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be performed by the American Legion and VFW.

     Henry Adolph was born on 9 July 1921 at Oklahoma.¹ He was the son of William Henry Adolph and Lola Larimore.¹ Henry Adolph died on 8 February 2009 at Aurora, Adams Co., CO, at age 87 dates per SSDI.

     Joseph Adolph was born on 12 March 1884 at Franklin Co., KS.^1,2 He was the son of George Adolph and Amanda Ann Wilcox. Joseph Adolph married Levina Larimore, daughter of William Timothy Larimore and Hulda Samantha Davis, on 15 August 1910 at Alma, Waubaunsee Co., KS. Joseph Adolph died on 17 April 1960 at Pawhuska, Osage Co., OK, at age 76.

     Lysle D. Adolph was born on 1 September 1913 at Quenamo, KS.² He was the son of Joseph Adolph and Levina Larimore.¹ Lysle D. Adolph married Georgia Finnegan on 28 July 1937. Lysle D. Adolph lived in 2002 at Turley, OK, Per obit of sister Doris. He died on 5 May 2008 at Turley, Tulsa Co., OK, at age 94.

     Lysle D. Adolph Jr. was born. He was the son of Lysle D. Adolph and Georgia Finnegan. Lysle D. Adolph Jr. died before 5 May 2008.

     Margery Adolph was born circa 1923 at Arkansas.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Adolph and Lola Larimore.¹
