     Carol June Groharing was born on 26 January 1918 at Morrison, Whiteside Co., IL. She was the daughter of Louis Kyle Groharing and Lela Ann Nace.¹ Carol June Groharing married Paul Cornelius Blair, son of Millard Blair and Lena Mabel Curry, on 9 June 1937 at Davenport, Scott Co., IA. BLAIR, Carol J., 82, of Tampa, died October 20, 2000. Survived by three daughters, Sandra Okerman and husband Roger, Elk River, Minn., Lindy Johnson and husband Joe, Jana Blanton and husband Bob, and son Robert Blair and wife Doreen, all of Tampa. She was grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services to be held Thursday, October 25, 10:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church of LifePath Hospice.

     Louis Kyle Groharing was born on 19 September 1896 at Carroll Co., IL, son of William and Lucinda Groharing.¹ He married Lela Ann Nace on 15 September 1916 at Clinton Co., IA, Ceremony by Rev. C. L. Nue. Louis Kyle Groharing and Lela Ann Nace were divorced before 1924. Louis Kyle Groharing died on 29 March 1971 at Hillsborough Co., FL, at age 74

LOUIS K. GROHARING - Funeral arrangements are complete for Louis K. Groharing, 74, former mayor of Prophetstown, who died Monday in Brandon, Fla. Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the Cancer Society.

Mr. Groharing was born Sept. 19, 1896, in Carroll County, the son of William and Lucinda Welch Groharing. Mr. Groharing was a member of the Prophetstown City Council for 27 years. He served as mayor of the city for eight years, from 1957-1965. He was a past master of the masonic lodge; past patron of the OES. He married Lela Nace. On Sept. 20, 1924 he married Bernice Powell. They lived in Prophetstown before retiring to Florida several years ago. Mr. Groharing was a masonry contractor and yard manager for the Rock River Lumber and Grain Co.

Survivors are the widow; one son, Louis Jr., California; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Carol) Blair, Tampa, Fla; Mrs. Eldon (Lois Jean) Martin, Brandon, Fla; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. -- Contributed by Barbara Nugent - Sterling Daily Gazette Date: 31 Mar 1971.

Pherna Lucille Groharing married Wallace Christian Dresbach, son of Albert Dresbach and Sarah Elizabeth Rauser, on 21 January 1921. Pherna Lucille Groharing died on 16 June 1981 at Clinton, Clinton Co., IA, at age 80.

     Harriet Harmon Gronbeck was born on 12 September 1913 at Frankfort, Waldo Co., ME. She married Dr. Edwin Francis Fricke Ph.D. on 26 December 1942 at King's Chapel, Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, ceremony by Rev. Dr. Perkins, pastor. Harriet Harmon Gronbeck died on 9 September 1993 at age 79 per SSDI, last residence Merrimack, New Hampshire.
