     Mary E. Grove was born on 19 September 1829. She was the daughter of Jacob Grove and Jane Stuart. Mary E. Grove married Thomas S. Starr, son of Moses John Starr and Elizabeth Webb, on 16 September 1847 at Hocking Co., OH. Mary E. Grove died on 19 February 1907 at Hocking Co., OH, at age 77. She was buried in February 1907 at Gore Cemetery, Hocking Co., OH, Findagrave #207653907.

     Mary Frances Grove was born on 15 October 1839 at Luray, Page Co., VA. She was the daughter of John Grove and Mary Brumbach. Mary Frances Grove died on 18 September 1892 at age 52.

     Mary Jane Grove married James R. Campbell. Mary Jane Grove was born on 30 July 1834 at Luray, Page Co., VA. She was the daughter of Emanuel Grove and Frances Brumbach.

     Mary Jane Grove was born on 23 June 1864. She was the daughter of Augustus Grove and Margaret Ellen Donaldson.

     Mary Kreps Grove was born on 18 November 1914 at Hagerstown, Washington Co., MD.¹ She was the daughter of Clyde Grove and Marie E. Kreps.¹

     Michael Grove was also known as Michael Groff. He was born in 1750 at Holland (probably), Montgomery Co. (probably), PA. He was the son of Peter Grove. Michael Grove began military service Served under Capt. Campbell and Col. Hunter as a private in the Pennsylvania troops.

In the Revolution, served with his brother Peter under Gen. Sullivan and Capt. Sam Brady (of Muncy). He also served with Capt. Brady in the Indian Campaign. He died in 1827 at Union Co., PA. He was buried at Dreisbach Cemetery (south of Vicksburg), Buffalo Twp., Union Co., PA.

     Note: Some genealogies show the parents of Ella M. Grove as John P. Grove (1835 - 1926) and Lucy Varner (1842 - 1914). However that Eleanor or Ella M. Grove, found in the 1870 and 1880 censuses of Page County, was a full five years older than the wife of Alpheus Coe, who was born in September, 1870 and therefore does not appear in the 1870 census. She appears in the 1880 census of Page County as a nine-year old. DLB 2012. Minnie Ella Grove was born on 7 September 1870 at Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of John William Grove and Eliza Jane Koontz. Minnie Ella Grove married Hunter Oliver Brubaker, son of John Henry Brubaker and Elizabeth Virginia Kite, on 15 September 1890 at Mount Vernon Place Methodist Church, Washington, District of Columbia, Ceremony by Rev. J. T. Wightman; four children born, three living as of the 1900 census. Minnie Ella Grove died on 8 January 1932 at Washington, District of Columbia, at age 61. She was buried in January 1932 at Green Hill Cemetery, Luray, Page Co., VA.

     Morgan Maxwell Grove was born on 9 March 1921 at Bluffton Clinic, Bluffton Co., IN. He was the son of Alpha Grove and Francis Gail Starr. Morgan Maxwell Grove married Elizabeth Roselee Richey on 25 February 1940 at Albany, Delaware Co., IN.

     Nancy Grove was born on 5 November 1814 at Shenandoah Co., VA. She was the daughter of Samuel Grove and Mary Lineberger. Nancy Grove married Jacob Brumback, son of Henry Brumback and Mary Grove, on 2 February 1835 at Page Co., VA. Nancy Grove died on 28 April 1905 at Carthage, Hancock Co., IL, at age 90.

     Nancy Grove was born circa 1835 at Ohio. She was the daughter of Benjamin Grove and Jane Hite.

     Ora D. Grove married Maude Alma Stepleton, daughter of Jacob A. Stepleton and Jennie M. (?).¹ Ora D. Grove was born on 29 August 1888. He was the son of Richard Anderson Grove and Emily Florence Cremean. Ora D. Grove died on 16 July 1960 at age 71.

     Pearl Edna Grove was born on 4 October 1882 at St. Thomas Twp., Franklin Co., PA; daughter of George L. and Catherine "Kate" (Grove) Grove of Altoona. She married Dr. Fletcher Bliss Forrest M.D., son of Hamilton Wesley Forrest and Louisa Maria Christina Kitzmiller, on 29 December 1908,

The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. L. Grove, East Queen street, Chambersburg, was the scene of a pretty home wedding on Tuesday evening. In the presence of the family and a large company of invited guests their daughter, Miss Pearl Grove, and Dr. Fletcher B. Forrest were united in marriage. The bridegroom’s brother, Rev. John Forrest, of Montoursville, officiated. Rev. Dr. Roth assisted. Miss Hazel Snyder, Hazleton, was bridesmaid; Granville Forrest, of Trenton, N.J., best man. A reception followed the ceremony.

Dr. Forrest is a practicing physician at Bellwood, Pa., and for a time was located in Chambersburg. He was originally from Adams county. His bride is the daughter of former County Commissioner and Mrs. Grove and is one of the well known and esteemed young ladies of town. Dr. and Mrs. Forest (sic) will reside at Bellwood.

Pearl G. Forrest

Mrs. Pearl G. Forrest, 916 26th ave., Altoona, died Sunday at 6:25 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home, Altoona, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 9, 1882, at St. Thomas, a daughter of George L. and Catherine D. Grove. She was married Dec. 29, 1908mto Dr. Fletcher B. Forrest, who died in 1940.

Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Mathers, Altoona; two granddaughters. A daughter, Ann Burfeindt, died in 1956 (sic). She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Bellwood, and was active in civic affairs prior to her illness.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, in charge of the Rev. Joseph G. Rigby. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chambersburg. Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

She was buried in September 1967 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA, Findagrave #176515932.

BELLWOOD WOMAN HURT IN CRASH NEAR LEWISTOWN

LEWISTOWN, Feb. 21 (INS) -- Two women were injured last night when an automobile and truck sideswiped west of Lewistown on Route 22.

Mrs. Katherine Mathers, 40, of Altoona, suffered a broken leg and possible internal injuries, while Mrs. Pearl Forrest, Bellwood, her mother, suffered body bruises.

State police said Mrs. Mathers was driving east when her vehicle and a truck collided. The truck driver, Charles L. Konwalski, 32, of Pittsburgh, escaped harm.

2 Blair County Women Hurt In Route 22 Crash
A Blair County mother and daughter are patients in the Lewistown Hospital today suffering from injuries sustained in an accident on Route 22, five miles east of Mount Union, last night at 7:10 o'clock.

The mother, Mrs. Pearl Forrest, 58, of 336 Main Street, Bellwood, is reported in satisfactory condition this forenoon. The daughter, Mrs. Katherine Mathers, 40, of 916 Twenty-sixth Avenue, Altoona, is in fair condition.

The women were traveling east in a 1949 Dodge sedan, operated by Mrs. Mathers. Charles L. Konwalski, Pittsburgh, was traveling west in a 1950 Ford truck attached to a Fruehauf trailer. As the vehicles passed on the highway, going in opposite directions a collision occurred. It is reported both operators shift responsibility for driving in the center of the highway.

Mrs. Mathers suffered a possible fracture of the left leg and possible abdominal injuries. Mrs. Forrest suffered contusions of the wrist, abrasions of both knees and lacerations of the ear.

State police of the Lewistown sub-station investigated the accident.

The pleasure car was practically demolished, while damage to the left side of the truck is said to be heavy.

     Pearl Lillian Grove was born on 21 January 1883 at Virginia. She was the daughter of John Pendleton Grove and Lucy Rebecca Varner.

     Peter Grove died at Union Co., PA.

     Philip Grove was the son of Daniel Grove and Margaret Shaffer.¹ Philip Grove was Protestant Episcopal.¹ He married Bessie Grove, daughter of Jacob C. Grove and Elizabeth Mumma, on 23 June 1916, No children.¹ Philip Grove lived in 1926 at Sharpsburg, Washington Co., MD.¹

     Polly Catherine Grove was born on 20 February 1843 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH. She married Jacob Sturm Ryan on 28 September 1865 at Mahaska Co., IA. Polly Catherine Grove died on 29 January 1921 at Elgin, Comanche Co., OK, at age 77.

     Priscilla Ellen Grove married Josephus Kriedler, 4 children born in addition to Laura Ellen. Priscilla Ellen Grove was born on 21 September 1860. She was the daughter of Augustus Grove and Margaret Ellen Donaldson. Priscilla Ellen Grove died in February 1941 at age 80.

     Rebecca Grove was born on 11 October 1806 at Virginia. She was the daughter of Christian Grove and Mary Gochenour. Rebecca Grove married Daniel Hite, son of David Hite and Susannah Spitler, on 18 June 1829. Rebecca Grove died on 6 November 1897 at age 91.

     Richard Anderson Grove was born on 16 September 1862 at Madison Co., OH. He was the son of Augustus Grove and Margaret Ellen Donaldson. Richard Anderson Grove married Emily Florence Cremean in 1886 at Lima, Allen Co., OH. Richard Anderson Grove married Virginia Stockdale on 24 May 1919 at Florence, Fremont Co., CO. Richard Anderson Grove died on 6 August 1927 at age 64.

     Samuel Grove married Lavinia Houser.

     Samuel Grove was born in 1780 at Virginia. He was the son of Christian Grove and Esther Musselman. Samuel Grove married Mary Lineberger on 12 June 1807 at Virginia. Samuel Grove died on 18 August 1851.

     Sarah Grove was also known as Salma. She was born in 1820 at Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Grove and Jane Hite. Sarah Grove married Michael H. Sullenbarger circa 1837.

     Sarah Grove was born on 30 May 1776.¹ She married John Niswanger, son of Abraham Neuschwanger and Margaret (?), on 7 October 1795.¹ Sarah Grove died on 27 February 1844 at Stephens City, Frederick Co., VA, at age 67.¹

     Sarah Grove was born circa 1802 at Shenandoah Co., VA. She was the daughter of Jacob Graf and Sarah Wendel.
