Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):

Wallace Leonard (Wally) Hahn was born to Leonard and Tillie Hahn in Tacoma, Wash. June 9, 1928 and passed into God's loving hands at home Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.

Wally attended school in Tacoma thru the 9th grade. After the family purchase of an apple orchard in Manson, he moved with the family in 1943. He graduated from Chelan High School in 1946, and enlisted in the Army that fall. He was stationed with the 1st Calvary Division with the army of Occupation in Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1948 and returned to Manson to resume employment in the apple industry after a brief venture into Aircraft and Engineering school in Portland, Oregon.

Wally married Edris Avon Kowsky at Ohme Gardens in Wenatchee in July 1951. They purchased their first orchard in May 1953, while at the same time he continued to work at the Chelan Boat Company and the packing shed. In 1957 Julie was born. Daughter Holly followed in December 1960.

Wally mainly loved life, family, and friends. His greatest joys were spending time with his wife, watching his daughters grow up and marry, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was so proud of each and every accomplishment of everyone he loved.

His love of farming and yard work were there for all to see. Just look at his yard! His hobbies also included dirt bike riding, stream and high mountain lake fishing, camping, boating on the Lake Chelan and the San Juan Islands, stock car racing, traveling with the family to such places as Disneyland, the Oregon coast, Banff and Jasper National Parks, hydroplane racing, and in the later years spending time with the "coffee crowd".
