Carstensen, Laverne, passed away very peacefully on January 28, 2009 at Hoag Memorial Hospital. She was 74. Laverne was surrounded by family and clergy. She was born December 5, 1934 in Tupelo, MS and resided in Newport Beach and Corona del Mar for the past 44 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Carl; children, Jan Davis and Jim Carstensen and his wife, Sonia; grandchildren, Jessie and Chanel Carstensen and Phillip and Jillian Davis; brother, Duane and sister Jean, both from Mobile, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. Laverne was predeceased by her daughter, Dana. A caring and adoring wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A viewing from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2009 and Funeral Service on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. will both take place at Pacific View Mortuary in Corona del Mar. He was born on 8 April 1924 at Kansas.¹ He was the son of Everett Milford Hall and Beulah May Denny.¹ Lawrence Edwin Hall married Juanita Ollie Hoover, daughter of George Isaac Hoover and Jessie Kemp Fair Wood, on 14 April 1943 at Neosho, Newton Co., MO. Lawrence Edwin Hall died on 12 July 1991 at Coffeyville, Montgomery Co., KS, at age 67.

     Lewis Dale Hall was born on 28 January 1868. He married Mary L. Hawkins, daughter of James Knox Hawkins and Theresa Maria Coe, on 24 December 1906. Lewis Dale Hall died on 13 October 1907 at age 39.

     Lewis S. Hall was born in November 1859 at Licking or Knox Co., OH.¹ He was the son of William C. Hall and Hester Larimore.

     Marion R. Hall was born in 1904 at Reno Co. (probably), KS.¹ He was the son of Jasper Ernest Hall and Clarkie Edna Leard.¹ Marion R. Hall died in 1936.

     Martha Ellen Hall was also known as "Nettie". She was born on 1 July 1881 at Preble Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Hall and Mary Jones. Martha Ellen Hall married Harry G. Robert Hall lived on 5 January 1920 at Decatur, Macon Co., IL, boilermaker in car factory.¹ He died on 17 December 1967 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL, at age 76.      Robert Leroy Hall was born on 23 April 1928. He was the son of Brooks Stafford Hall and Maude Josephine Scherdin. Robert Leroy Hall began military service WW II service, U.S. Navy.      Robert Richard Hall was born on 20 April 1914 at Decatur, Macon Co., IL, WW II draft registration.¹ He was the son of Robert Hall and Ada Anie Shepard.¹ Robert Richard Hall married Florence Lu Ella Fuller, daughter of Jay Clair Emmett Fuller and Florence Geneva Denton. Robert Richard Hall lived on 22 April 1940 at 2010 South Elmwood, Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL, assembler in agricultural equipment factory.² He began military service WW II service, U.S. Marine Corps, Cpl. He died on 22 June 1993 at age 79. He was buried in 1993 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL, Findagrave #2554522.

     Rowena May Hall was born in April 1867 at Licking or Knox Co., OH, 1880 census shows her as 18 -- clearly an error per 1870 and 1900 censuses.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of William C. Hall and Hester Larimore. Rowena May Hall married Austin D. Barrick, son of William H. Barrick and Catherine (?), circa 1892, 1900 census indicates 5 children born, 4 living; however, Carl Hall, born August 1887 is shown as a "step son". Probably Rowena lost an infant in the three years between Mabel and Robert, or else during the months before the census.³ Rowena May Hall lived in 1930 at Centerburg, Knox Co., OH.

     Ruth Hall was born on 14 June 1719 at Portsmouth, Newport Co., RI. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Hall and Ruth Lawton. Ruth Hall married Stephen Tripp circa 1739 at Portsmouth, Newport Co., RI.
