     Cora E. Hammon was born on 7 September 1889 at Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of James Hammon and Lucinda Holcomb.¹ Cora E. Hammon married Harry Webster Burton, son of William Jamison Burton and Rachel Drusilla Gabbert, after 23 April 1910 at Ross Co. (probably), OH.

     James Hammon was born in August 1846 at Ohio.¹ He married Lucinda Holcomb on 27 March 1873 at Pike Co., OH. James Hammon died on 13 October 1914 at Huntington Twp., Ross Co., OH, at age 68.

     Martha May Hammon born 27 August 1883, christened at the Catholic Church that then stood at Buchannon and Washington Streets. She was Stratton Hammon’s favorite aunt and before she was married, frequently escorted him around the neighborhood. She married Jerome Edgar Robertson on 10 February 1912, at the
Evangelical Church, which stood at Highland and Grinsread Drive. The minister was Reverend Zimmerman.
     Martha May Hammon Robertson died in Louisville 22 August 1973, 5 days short of her 90th birthday. She was buried in Resthaven Cemetery. Their first child (a) was Jerome Edgar Robertson, who was born in Louisville, Kentucky, 4 December 1912. He married Catherine Davis, daughter of Oscar Davis and Maude Cook of Taylor County, Kentucky, in Indiana, on l0 June 1949. They have daughters Barbara Diane Robertson born in Louisville, Kentucky 16 September, 1950, and Victoria Kay Robertson born in Louisville, Kentucky, l March 1952. Their second child (b) was Roy Lee Robertson, who was born in Louisville, Kentucky, 21 September 1914. He married Elizabeth Toy, daughter of Norris Toy and Laura Terry of Bowling Green, Kentucky, in Louisville, Kentucky, 20 April 1950. They have son Terry Lee Robertson born in Louisville, Kentucky, 25 November 1950, and daughter Sandra Lee Robertson born in Louisville, Kentucky 29 November 1952.

Martha May Hammon was born on 27 August 1883 at Kentucky. She was the daughter of Charles Franklin Hammon and Barbara Miller. Martha May Hammon married Jerome Edgar Robertson, son of Crawford M. Robertson and Martha Ellen Wright, on 10 February 1912 at Evangelical Church at Highland and Grinsread Drive, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, Ceremony by Rev. Zimmerman. Martha May Hammon died on 22 August 1973 at Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at age 89. She was buried in August 1973 at Resthaven Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY.

     Alice Hammond married Elra Howerter.

     Charles M. Hammond married Millie Ruthrauff.¹

     Clara Hammond was born on 12 November 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Charles M. Hammond and Millie Ruthrauff.¹ Clara Hammond married Elmer A. Emmert, son of Josiah Emmert and Margaret Miller, on 24 May 1903, Ceremony by Rev. A. E. Kepford.¹

     Denton Hammond was born on 5 June 1796 at Maryland.¹ He was the son of John Hammond and Tomsey Simpson.¹ Denton Hammond married Hannah Stoner, daughter of Jacob Steiner and Autrian Ferguson, on 9 September 1817, License date.¹ Denton Hammond died on 5 September 1850 at Frederick Co., MD, at age 54.¹

     Earl E. Hammond was born on 29 January 1893. He was the son of William J. Hammond and Ada Catherine Thomas. Earl E. Hammond died on 7 May 1916 at age 23. He was buried in May 1916 at Silver Creek Cemetery, Leaf River Twp., Ogle Co., IL, dates per headstone.

     Emma A. Hammond was born on 3 February 1853 at Ohio.¹ She married Foster H. Leigh circa 1871.¹ Emma A. Hammond died in 1940.

     John Hammond married Tomsey Simpson.¹

     Laura A. Hammond was born on 31 May 1845. She married Milton George Urner. Laura A. Hammond died on 31 July 1923 at age 78. She was buried in August 1923 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Frederick Co., MD.

     Marilyn Hammond was born on 3 August 1926 at Stanislaus Co., CA.¹ She married Norman Lewis Anderson, son of Aner Edgar Anderson and Hallie Virginia Lewis. Marilyn Hammond and Norman Lewis Anderson were divorced in November 1974 at Stanislaus Co., CA. Marilyn Hammond died on 6 January 2012 at Jacksonville, Jackson Co., OR, at age 85.

     Marshall Francis Hammond was born on 28 January 1913. He married Ruth Lois Brown, daughter of George McKinley Brown and Stella M. Miner, circa 1946. Marshall Francis Hammond died on 21 February 1997 at age 84. He was buried in February 1997 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Prince George's Co., MD, Findagrave #41368073.

     Sarah Chandler Hammond married John Micklewait. Sarah Chandler Hammond was born on 21 March 1829.

Hammond married Ada Catherine Thomas, daughter of George Scott Thomas and Mary Butterbaugh, on 20 January 1892 at Ogle Co., IL. William J. Hammond died on 23 April 1940 at age 75 dates per headstone. He was buried in April 1940 at Silver Creek Cemetery, Leaf River Twp., Ogle Co., IL.

     Barbara Jean Hammons was born on 8 January 1943 at Ajo, Pima Co., AZ. She was the daughter of Eugene Hammons and Lucille Shalley. Barbara Jean Hammons died on 30 January 1980 at Phoenix Baptist Hospital, Phoenix, Maricopa Co., AZ, at age 37.

     Eugene Hammons was born on 4 September 1922 at Ringling, Jefferson Co., OK, per SS application record, or Cornish, Oklahoma per WW II draft registration. He married Lucille Shalley, daughter of Charles Wesley Shalley and Lydia Larimore, on 24 February 1940 at Wickenburg, Maricopa Co., AZ, Ceremony by Bob C. Storns, J.P. Eugene Hammons began military service on 19 September 1944 at Phoenix, Maricopa Co., AZ, WW II service, U.S. Army, enlisted. He died on 21 November 2000 at age 78 per SSDI, appears to have died in Canada.
Note: Son of Joseph and Myrtle (Snellgrove) Hammons. Eugene and Lucille were apparently still together in 1955 when she was listed as Lucille Hammonds in her uncle William C. Shalley's obituary. Lucille remarried, using her maiden name, in 1960 to William J. Valdez in Imperial County, California. It looks like the marriage of Eugene and Lucille broke up shortly after 1955. DLB 2020.

     Duvall James Hammontree was born on 19 July 1890 at Independence, Jackson Co., MO. He married Mariah Theressa Myers, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Myers and Ella Scheurer, on 20 August 1910 at Jackson Co., MO. Duvall James Hammontree and Mariah Theressa Myers were divorced; Marie, using "Gertrude", and Glenn Hammontree were listed as roomers in a house headed by Guy H. Tucker in Kansas City in 1920. Gertrude was listed as widowed. Duvall was living with his parents at Independence and listed as single in 1920, but was listed as divorced in 1930. The marriage appears not to have lasted until 1920. DLB 2021.¹ Duvall James Hammontree died on 21 February 1939 at Independence, Jackson Co., MO, at age 48. He was buried in February 1939 at Salem Cemetery, Independence, Jackson Co., MO, Findagrave #73120730.

     Glenn Irwin Hammontree was born on 3 September 1908 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO, per WW II draft registration. He was the son of Duvall James Hammontree and Mariah Theressa Myers. Occupation: pianist for the Folly Theater, Kansas City, and member of the Federation of Musicians Local No. 34. Glenn Irwin Hammontree died on 13 April 1972 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO, at age 63.

Mr. Charles Francis Hamner of near Kahoka, Missouri, died at 10:35 p.m. o'clock Sunday night, December 18 at Graham hospital where he had been a patient since last August.
He was married to Mary Ann Hanslow on February 22, 1899, who preceded him in death on September 11, 1942.
Charles Francis Hamner, a son of Robert and Elizabeth Sullivan Hamner, was born in Clark County, Missouri on July 4, 1875 and had been a resident of that county all of his life. He was baptized in the Methodist faith.
Surviving are six children, three sons, Clarence F. of Keokuk Henry E. of Kahoka, Oval B. of Luray; and three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Heinze of Kahoka, Mrs. Myrtle Kutcher ofKahoka, and Mrs. Gladys Young of Farmington. Also 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. M. Monroe in charge of the service.
Music was by Niss Nina Dorsey, Mrs. Ethel Rigg, Mrs. Helen Ragan.
Pallbearers were Richard Hamner, Delbert Hamner, Howard Heinze, Junior Kutcher, Donald Kutcher and Leroy Lillard.
Interment in Kahoka cemetery.

     Leona Mae Hamon was born on 26 October 1911 at Kansas. She was the daughter of Clyde Albert Hamon and Jessie Belle Sims. Leona Mae Hamon married William Henry Otto Endsley, son of Henry H. Endsley and Martha Marie Buswell, before 5 April 1930.¹ Leona Mae Hamon lived on 11 April 1940 at Fairview Twp., Ford Co., KS.² She died on 6 June 1988 at Ft. Morgan, Morgan Co., CO, at age 76. She was buried in June 1988 at Riverside Cemetery, Ft. Morgan, Morgan Co., CO.

     Mary E. Hamon was born circa 1927 at Grant Co. (probably), KS.¹ She was the daughter of Clyde Albert Hamon and Jessie Belle Sims.¹
