Harward married Mary Gertrude Wanger, daughter of George F. P. Wanger and M. Ada Grubb, on 8 August 1917, Ceremony by Rev. C. P. Warner.¹ Occupation: Mr. Harward received his higher education after leaving High School at Wake Forest College, N.C., receiving B.A. degree; came north to Crozier Theological Seminary and received B.D. degree. While pursuing his studies at the seminary he studied also at the University of Penna. and received degree of M.A. in 1916. Is an ordained Baptist minister and served churches at Lonaconing, Md., Eckhart Mines, Md., Corapolis, Pa., Morrisville, N.C., and Durham, N.C. She was the daughter of Charles Lilburn Combs and Bessie Kate Kitzmiller. Ada Vee Hash married Varick Davis Martin, son of Ira Martin and Vergie Thompson, on 22 September 1947 at Bristol, VA. She was born June 12, 1932 in Harr, TN, a daughter of the late Harvey and Susie Cox Hash. She was a former employee of Big Jack, L.C. King and Cozy Dozy. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her special parents, Charlie & Bessie Combs.

The funeral service for Mrs. Whitaker will be held at 7PM, Thursday, May 29, 2008 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby King officiating. The burial will be held at 11AM, Friday, in Moore Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Whitaker's grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7, Thursday evening, prior to the funeral service.

He died in August 1976 at Hamilton Co., TN, at age 72 per SSDI, last residence Chattanooga.

     John Frederick Hasis was born on 22 April 1929 at Mercer Co., OH. He married Ruth Joan Thomas on 18 July 1964. John Frederick Hasis died on 1 May 2011 at Mercer Co., OH, at age 82

A retired farmer, he was a lifelong member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War in Panama. He attended Mendon-Union High School. He was a member of American Legion Post 508 and Shanes Lodge 377 Free & Accepted Masons, both of Rockford.

Services are at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Kenneth Baker, officiating.

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Thomas M. Hass, 65, of 1013 N.W. Eighth Street in Grand Prairie died Thursday at his residence after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Andrews Episcopal Chrch in Grand Prairie with burial in Mount Olivet.

Hass, born in Fort Worth, was a former resident of Memphis, Tenn., and had been a resident of Grand Prairie for the past three years. He was a retired sales manager of the MidSouth Galvanizing Co.

Survivors are a son, Melvin R. Hass of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. Bud Clark of Grand Prairie and Mrs. Dean Sawvell of Pleasant View; mother, Vera Holland of Euless; brother, Vernon Hass of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
