     Jess Ora Allred was born on 12 July 1882 at Missouri.¹ He married Bertha Moats, daughter of John Starr Moats and Lucy Francelia Williams, circa 1901, One child born, none living as of the 1910 census.¹ Jess Ora Allred died in 1956.

     Lt. Col. William Marion Allred was born on 11 July 1921 at Piedmont, Calhoun Co., AL. He married Joyce Hughes. Lt. Col. William Marion Allred died on 14 June 2003 at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home, Alexander City, Tallapoosa Co., AL, at age 81

PIEDMONT - Services for Lt. Col. William Marion Allred, 81, of Piedmont will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont. Burial with full military honors will be in Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Allred died Saturday at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hughes Allred; two daughters, Marian Elaine Allred of Summerville, Ga., Joyce Denise Allred Montgomery and her husband, Edmond L., of Huntsville, Texas; three sons, Rodney V. Allred of Rome, Ga., Larry W. Allred and his wife, Diana, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Thomas R. Allred and his wife, Amelia, of Anniston; a sister, Martha Jean Allred Bannister of Pell City; a brother, Broughton Eugene Allred of Cropwell; 11 grandchildren, Victoria Michele Allred, Jacqueline Nicole Allred, Jason Drew Allred, Sara Elizabeth Allred, Jenny Rebecca Allred, Drew William Allred, Joshua Wayne Allred, Rachel A. Montgomery, Andrew J. Montgomery, Meagan Elaine Allred and Lauren Ashton Allred; and a great-grandchild, Josepha May Montgomery.

Mr. Allred remained a permanent resident of Piedmont as he traveled abroad in service to his country. He was a combat veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict with more than 25 years service. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

TECUMSEH - Roy A. Allshouse, 62, of 103 Burt Street, died Friday at 6:40 pm at Herrick Memorial Hospital where he was admitted Monday after suffering a heart attach while working for the county road commission. He was born Jan. 29, 1908 in Adrian Township. On June 30, 1930, he married Helen Spalding in Adrian. She preceded him in death in 1958. On March 13, 1959, he married Mary Furgason in Tecumseh and she survives. Mr. Allshouse was a foreman for the county road commission where he was employed the last 43 years. he was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges of Tecumseh and the Tecumseh Grange. he formerly lived in Onsted and for the last three years made his home in Tecumseh. He is survived by three sons, Roger of Hinsdale, Ill; Merlin of Norfolk, Va; and Marvin (Butch) of Onsted; a stepson, Robert Irwin of Britton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Escott of Tecumseh; 16 grand-children; five brothers, Clifford of Onsted; Harry, Lee, Harold and Beauford, all of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his first wife, a son and a brother. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral home, Tecumseh. The Rev. B. O. Bashore will officiate. IOOF services will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

     Enchgen Almecher was born at Fellinghausen, Nassau-Siegen (now in Nordrhein-Westfalen), Germany. Enchgen Almecher was also known as Anna. She was the daughter of Hans Almecher. Enchgen Almecher married Hans Brumbach, son of Jost Brumbach and Elsbeth (?), in 1588, Shons Hans in der Brumbach, as he was referred to in the late sixteenth century, and Enchgen had 13 children born between 1590 and 1615, but most died in childhood, three of them in the plague of 1599. At least four sons survived them, two of whom were named Jost. Hans was still living in 1639, the last year he is mentioned in the church register. Toward the end of his life he was referred to simply as Hans Brumbach.²

     Hans Almecher lived at Fellinghausen, Germany. He died at Fellinghausen, Nassau-Siegen (now in Nordrhein-Westfalen), Germany.

     Frederic Almy was born on 14 June 1849 at Massachusetts.¹ He married Millicent Magruder, daughter of William Beans Magruder and Sarah Van Wyck, on 2 June 1885 at Sing Sing (now Ossining), Westchester Co., NY. Frederic Almy lived on 4 June 1900 at Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY, merchant.¹ He died on 7 March 1917 at age 67. FREDERICK ALMY
Services for Frederick Almy, 77, a rodeo performer known as the Cowboy Millionaire in the 1920s, will be held in the home of a sister, Mrs. Millicent Warner, on Selleck Hill Road, Salisbury, Conn., at noon tomorrow.

Almy died Tuesday at his residence in the Alpine Hotel, 987 Eighth Ave. He inherited an estimated $50 million from his first wife, the dowager Lady Michelham, but lost most of it in the 1929 stock market crash. Lately he ran a business transporting race horses from one country to another.


Note: Fred married the Dowager Baroness Michelham of England on 5 FEB 1926. She died 1 JAN 1927 in Paris. He remarried to June Kathleen Helen Dibble of London on 18 FEB 1927. He had no children.
