John Heazeltine, 74 years old, died Friday morning at his home in Olathe, Kansas, after an illness of several months.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Elizabeth Shipley, Mrs. Lydia Gambol, Ross Heazeltine and Frank Heazeltine. One sister, Mrs. L. W. Meredith, of Mulberry Grove, also survives.
Mr. Haxeltine was a resident of Edgar County for many years and was well known here.
The body will arrive in Paris on Sunday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock.
He was buried in February 1919 at Edgar Cemetery, Paris, Edgar Co., IL.

Born in Sterlington, La., on Dec. 18, 1931, he attended school in Oakridge, Tenn., graduated from high school in Terre Haute and attended St. Meinrad College. He formerly lived in Brownsburg, Indianapolis and Terre Haute and moved to Lafayette in 1968.
Mr. Heazeltine was a powerhouse operator for Eli Lilly for 23 years, retiring in 1983. He also formerly owned Mike's Clock Shop for four years.
He married Ruth Stableton on Nov. 13, 1953, in Terre Haute.
Mr. Heazeltine was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a former member of Serra Club. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife three sons, Patrick Heazeltine (wife: Jennifer) of Lafayette, Dan Heazeltine (wife: MeLinda) of West Lafayette and Andy Heazeltine (wife: Jamie) of Lafayette a daughter, Cathy Kramer (husband: Mike) of Muscatine, Iowa and two brothers, Thomas R. Heazeltine of Indianapolis and Harold F. Heazeltine of Phoenix, Ariz.
