LEETONIA - Leafey Lorraine Macry, 93, a resident of Windsor Estates in New Middletown, formerly Leetonia, died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at Masternick Memorial Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Macry was born Dec.18, 1919, in Lisbon, a daughter of Charles and Lela Bartholow Hemphill and had lived in this area all of her life.

Leafey was a medical records secretary for the Salem City Hospital. She was a member of Lake Mount Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Macry, whom she married April 29, 1950; two daughters, Toni (Bob) Beeson of Salem and Joan (Steven) Clunen of Leetonia; three sons, David (Pam) Macry of Salem, Joseph Macry of Columbiana and
Christopher Macry of Port St. Lucie, Fla; two stepdaughters, Donna (Ray) Queen of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Margaret (Jim) Shingleton of Rogers; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Richard, Forrest and Jack Peppel and Larry and James Knepper and her stepfather, Raymond Knepper.

Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
