Catherine was pregnant with Elsie when David R. Robertson sent her to live with her brother and sister-in-law in Dow OK. Her mom (Keziah) was also there in the 1910 census. Shortly after sending her away, David Robertson filed the original divorce papers (1910). After the baby was born, Catherine went back to Tennessee taking baby Elsie and Alvin with her. Grandma (Bertie Mae) supposedly cried to stay with her dad. As far I know, Grandma never went to Tennessee. Catherine probably assumed the divorce was final by 1915 as she was unable to return for anymore of the divorce proceedings once she got to Tennessee. She didn’t have the finances for the trip. (David R wasn’t paying child support per the divorce papers). We used to have a copy of the divorce, I will see if I can locate it. According to it, she was in frail health.

Charles R. Anderson of Castle Shannon, former local resident, died Saturday, November 7, at his house. He was born in Greene county on March 3, 1875. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Sharp of Canonsburg, and Mrs. James P. Lynch of Carrick; also two brothers and one sister, George of Waynesburg, Bert of Sycamore, and Mrs. Alice Edgar of Waynesburg. R. D. He made his home with Mrs. Sharp for some time but has lived in Castle Shannon for the past year and a half. Funeral services will be held from the Schaub Funderal home, 423 Brownsville Road, Mt. Lebanon, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Centre church cemetery, McMurray, Pa.

Clarence Delbert Anderson was born April 21, 1887 and died October 18, 1920, age 33 years, 5 months and 27 days. He was the son of Henry and Maria Anderson. He was married to Mabel Skelton Oct. 24, 1917.
He leaves a wife, mother, two sisters, Mrs. Monia Martin, of Pekin. Ind; Mrs. Bertha Holmes, of Mazon, Ill; ,two brothers, Edgar Anderson, of Palestine, New Jersey; Earl Anderson, of Farabee, Ind; one half brother, Harold Naie and a host of
other relatives and many friends.
His father preceded him to the great beyond several years ago.
He united with the church of Christ at Cross Roads August 1, 1920 during the revival conducted by brother Hottel. He was called into service May 27, 1918 and was discharged Dec. 2. 1918, soon after entering the service he was operated on at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana. Then again at the Marine hospital at Louisville, in 1919, from that time he was never well, his suffering was great but he bore it patiently.
Delbert was a good husband and well liked by all who knew him.
The funeral was held at Blue River church on Oct. 20 conducted by his poster, Rev. Hottel. Burial was in charge of Cecil Grimes Post of the American Legion, a military salute was given after lowering the casket.
Taps were also sounded showing respect for their comrade.
