Mr. William A. Hover, of Eureka, and Miss Leta Funk, of Russell, Kansas, were married on Sunday, the 6th of January, at the home on (sic) the bride's father, Mr. John Funk, in Russell. This comes as a pleasant surpise to Eureka people as the news of the marriage did not reach Eureka until the first of this week. Mr. Hover is a highly esteemed young man whose life has been spent in Greenwood county. The bride has also spent much of her time in Eureka. They will live on the Funk farm up Fall River, which Mr. Hover has rented for the coming year.

William A. Hover was born Octobe 31, 1877 at Eureka, Kansas and died at his home in this city Saturday, November 9, 1918, from influenza and double pneunmonia.
At the age of fifteen he was confirmed into the Lutheran Church.
He was united in marriage to Miss Lelah Funk in 1901 and to this union five children were born.
He leaves the grief stricken wife and children, Phylis, Marian, Wilma, John and Robert, also one sister, Mrs. Ena Hover Errickson, and two brothers, Harry D. Hover and Oscar H. Hover, all of this county to mourn his untimely death.
William Hover was actively engaged in the cattle business and farming in this community, a man of intergrity and honor, who enjoyed to the fullest the confidence of his associates and the business men of Eureka. He was a man of large heart, who would rather excuss than condemn a fault of another. In his home life he was a loving husband, a wise father, The family has lost its dearest friend and Eureka a fine type of citizen.
The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Paul Mennenoeh, was held at the residence Sunday afternoon a large number of friends had gathered to pay a last tribute of respect and love. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Frank A Howard, 47, well known druggist of this city for years, died Sunday night at Kerrville, Texas, where he had been for the last two years in an effort to revive his health .
He came to Hopkinsville in 1920 to work for E. H. Higgins, druggist, and in 1925. he and Mrs. W. H. Southall purchased the I. A. Johnson Drug Store on East Ninth Strcet, and had operated the Howard and Southall store there since.
Mr. Howard was born Jun. 17, 1894, in Caldwell County and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Howard, Sr.
During the World War No. 1, Mr. Howard served in the 11th Battalion infantry Replacement Training Camp at Petersburg, Va., as a lieutenant.
In 1923, Mr. Howard married Fannie Long Campbell, who survives him. She was at his bedside at the time of his death. In addition to his wife, he leaves his mother. Mrs. F. A. Howard, Sr., and one sister, Mrs. Leonard Groom of Princeton, one brother, Clyde Howard of Akron, 0., and a number of distant relatives. He leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss.
Mr. Howard was a member of the First Baptist Church of this city and received his education at Bethel College, Russellville. He was a member of the Odd Follows and was very active, serving its lodge fund treasurer for 16 years, He was a member of the Kiwanis also.
The body will arrive by train at Clarksville Tuesday and will be brought to the Wood-Fuqua-Davis Funeral Home here where the services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock by Dr. P. C. Walker, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
