Davault's Celebrate 50th. Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Davault of Comanche Harbor celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary Saturday, Jan 25, 1975. The couple was married on Jan. 24, 1924 and in Council Bluff, Iowa.

Mrs. Marie Alcala of Comanche Harbor hosted a get-together for them. Several of their children and friends attended the party.

     Permelia Frances Hubbard was also known as "Fannie". She was born in 1838 at Alleghany Co., VA.1 She was the daughter of Samuel W. Hubbard and Elizabeth Patterson Gilliam. Permelia Frances Hubbard married John Henry Windle, son of William Windle and Cynthia Ann Parker, on 13 September 1858 at Greenbrier Co., VA (now WV), Ceremony by A. C. Westwood. The marriage appears to have deteriorated by the summer of 1880 when the census was taken -- Permelia is listed in Kanawha County as the head of household and her occupation was taking in laundry and ironing, while John was living with his brother in Greenbrier County. John H. Wendell later married Sarah F. Hughes on 29 JUN 1882, Summers County, WV.

Permelia Frances Hubbard died on 29 February 1916 at Malden, Kanawha Co., WV. She was buried in March 1916 at George's Creek Cemetery, Malden, Kanawha Co., WV.
