     Chauncey Earl Huntzinger was born on 21 March 1898 at Fall Creek Twp., Madison Co., IN. He married Ruth M. Skiles on 24 August 1918. Chauncey Earl Huntzinger died on 1 July 1977 at Pendleton, Madison Co., IN, at age 79. He was buried in July 1977 at Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton, Madison Co., IN, Find A Grave Memorial# 44674325.

     Johann Jacob Hupff married Anna Maria Scheurer, daughter of Melchior Scheurer and Anna Maria Glückh, on 5 January 1702 at Sersheim, Württemberg, Germany.¹

     David Lee Hupp was born on 5 February 1905 at Shenandoah Co., VA. He was the son of David William Hupp and Bessie Lee Hurn. David Lee Hupp married Lucy Elizabeth Riddell in 1928. David Lee Hupp died on 8 April 1961 at age 56. He was buried in April 1961 at Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA.

     David William Hupp was born on 9 May 1870 at Shenandoah Co., VA. He was the son of Mathias P. Hupp and Amanda Estepp. David William Hupp married Bessie Lee Hurn, daughter of Luther Hurn and Lizzie S. Lee, on 4 January 1898 at Shenandoah Co., VA, Ceremony by Rev. H. L. Hout. David William Hupp died on 7 August 1951 at age 81.

     Elenor Hupp was born circa 1838 at Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Philip Hupp and Marinda (?)¹ Elenor Hupp married Harrison Starr, son of John Starr and Elizabeth Wendell, on 20 May 1858 at Noble Co., OH, Harrison Starr remarried to Sarah Yoho in September, 1867. Elenor Hupp died before September 1867 at Noble Co., OH.

     Ellen Hupp was born on 14 April 1824 at Ohio or Virginia per 1870.^1,2 She married William Starr, son of John Starr and Elizabeth Wendell, in 1844. Ellen Hupp died on 29 March 1882 at age 57. She was buried in 1882 at Halleys Ridge Cemetery, Ava, Noble Co., OH.

     Jacob K. Hupp was born circa 1807 at Virginia. He was the son of Abraham Hupp and Elizabeth Knopp. Jacob K. Hupp married Mary Kiser, daughter of Philip Kiser and Elizabeth Kite, on 17 January 1832 at Champaign Co., OH. Jacob K. Hupp died on 7 March 1856 at Plymouth, Marshall Co., IN.

     Mathias P. Hupp married Amanda Estepp.

     Milligan Hupp married Mary Starr, daughter of Harrison Starr and Elenor Hupp, on 29 January 1877 at Noble Co., OH.

     Philip Hupp was born circa 1812 at Virginia.¹ He married Marinda (?).

     Alice Nanette Huppert was born on 1 January 1889 at Benton Co., IA. She was the daughter of Jacob Huppert and Susan Templin. Alice Nanette Huppert married Robert Donald Kerr, son of Joseph Kerr and Alice Viola La Barre, on 31 March 1909. Alice Nanette Huppert lived in 1915 at Lincoln Twp., Black Hawk Co., IA. She died on 14 August 1982 at Bremer Co., IA, at age 93. She was buried in August 1982 at Alcock Cemetery, Frederika, Bremer Co., IA.

     Alta Marie Huppert was born on 25 May 1913 at Manchester, Delaware Co., IA. She was the daughter of Willis Roy Huppert and Lucy Catherine Leckington. Alta Marie Huppert died on 23 February 1993 at Merrillville, Lake Co., IN, at age 79. She was buried in February 1993 at Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Lake Co., IN.

     Angela Huppert was born on 14 February 1833 at Heckendalheim, Saarland, Germany. She was the daughter of Nikolaus Huppert and Anna Maria Wahrheit. Angela Huppert married Ludwig Triem, son of Ludwig Triem and Elisabeth Sprengard, on 26 June 1856 at Ommersheim, Saarland, Germany. Angela Huppert died after 1900 at Neuweiler, Saarland, Germany.

     Anna Maria Huppert was born on 24 February 1834 at Zell bei Einselthum, Rhein-Pfalz (now), Germany. She was the daughter of Heinrich Gerhard Huppert and Anna Margaretha Bauer.

     Arlene Jeanette Huppert was born on 3 June 1915 at Benton Co., IA. She was the daughter of James Earl Monroe Huppert and Mary Jane Healy. Arlene Jeanette Huppert married Milton La Clair Lane, son of John Lane and (?) Kirkpatrick, on 4 March 1938 at Lancaster, Schuyler Co., MO.

     Charles Albert Huppert was born on 23 July 1924 at Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA. He was the son of Willis Roy Huppert and Lucy Catherine Leckington. Charles Albert Huppert married Emajean Mae Sheeder, daughter of Ralph Sheeder and Zura Elizabeth Young, on 23 November 1942 at Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.

     Clara Annette Huppert was born on 31 August 1873 at Benton or Black Hawk Co., IA.¹ She was the daughter of Maria Huppert. Clara Annette Huppert lived in 1885 at Big Creek Twp., Black Hawk Co., IA, in the Ludwig and Elizabeth Triem household. Her mother, Mary Hubbard, was living with the Theodore Turner family, also in Black Hawk County, apparently a servant.² She married Robert Henry Wagner, son of William Wagner, on 6 June 1895 at Black Hawk Co., IA, The Courier, Waterloo, Iowa; Thursday, 8 JUN 1895, p. 7 (Newspapers.com):

Clara Annette Huppert lived in 1920 at 403 Oak Avenue, Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA.⁴ She died on 5 February 1945 at age 71

MRS. CLARA A. WAGNER.
Mrs. Clara A. Wagner, 71, resident of Waterloo for over 23 years, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday at Stannard Convalescent Home, La Porte city, where she had been for a month.

Born Aug. 31, 1873 at La Porte City, she was married there to Robert H. Wagner on June 5, 1895, and continued to reside there until shortly after his death in October, 1915, when she moved to Waterloo. She lived here until 1943.

Surviving are four children; Mrs. Ernest F. Bender, 207 Norwood avenue, and Truman Wagner, 802 Prospect boulevard; Mrs. N. R. Osborn, La Porte City, and R. D. Wagner, South Gate, Cal. Also nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Waldorff & Ashley funeral home, La Porte City, with burial at La Porte City.

She was buried in February 1945 at West View Cemetery, La Porte City, Black Hawk Co., IA, Findagrave #30734255.
Note: The identify of Clara's father is unknown/uncertain. She was listed as "Hubbard" (i.e. Huppert), her mother's maiden name, in the 1880 census, in the same dwelling as the Lewis Triem family, but as a separate family with her mother and maternal grandmother. It appears that Clara's divorced mother Maria Huppert, and Maria's mother (also Elizabeth Triem's mother) moved in to live with her sister Elizabeth and brother in-law, the Lewis Triem family, sometime in the early 1870s, and they were still there in 1880. In the 1885 Iowa state census of Black Hawk County, Clara is listed as a Triem, living with Lewis and Elizabeth, and her mother was listed living with the Theodore Tucker family, also in Big Creek Township, apparently a servant. Clara's name as listed on the 1895 Black Hawk County marriage record, to R. H. Wagner, was Clara Triem. Her mother was listed as Mary Hubbard, and her father as M. Kreitz (Mary Hubbard's second husband). But he was unlikely the father of Clara -- her mother didn't marry Matthias Kraitz until 1888 when Clara was 15. On her second marriage record (1919, to William A. Collins, Buchanan County), Clara's mother was listed as Mary Hubbard, and her father as Lewis Triem. Clara's obituary, and multiple obituaries of her children name her Clara Triem or Tream. (Her obituary did not name her parents.) So it appears that Lewis Triem was the only father figure Clara had from very early childhood, and that may be the explanation for referring to him as her father. Or, it is also possible that he was actually her biological father.

At least one online genealogy shows Clara as the daughter of Lewis and his wife Elizabeth (Huppert) Triem -- but Elizabeth was 44 when Clara was born in August, 1873, besides which if that were the case then there would be no reason to make two marriage records that show her as Maria Huppert's daughter. Only a DNA test can resolve the paternity question. DLB 2021.

     Dale Franklin Huppert was born on 24 October 1920 at Masonville, Delaware Co., IA. He was the son of Willis Roy Huppert and Lucy Catherine Leckington. Dale Franklin Huppert married Marcella Marie Lillie, daughter of Gerald Phillip Lillie and Gertrude Irene Brockman, on 2 August 1942 at Guthrie Center, Guthrie Co., IA. Dale Franklin Huppert died on 8 February 1958 at Guthrie Center, Guthrie Co., IA, at age 37. He was buried in February 1958 at Union Cemetery, Guthrie Center, Guthrie Co., IA.

     Dean Laverne Huppert was born on 15 August 1920 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA. He was the son of Edwin Alvertis Huppert and Rosa Ella Gulick. Dean Laverne Huppert married Lorraine Dorothy Elmore, daughter of Alvin Edward Elmore and Alma Anna Kunde, on 29 September 1956. Dean Laverne Huppert died on 22 March 1991 at Rochester, Olmstead Co., MN, at age 70. He was buried on 27 March 1991 at Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, Crow Wing Co., MN.

     Edwin Alvertis Huppert was also known as Bert. He was born on 19 October 1870 at Will Co., IL. He was the son of Jacob Huppert and Susan Templin. Edwin Alvertis Huppert married Rosa Ella Gulick, daughter of Stewart Gulick and Jane Parker, on 21 June 1899 at the United Brethren Church, Fairview, Benton Co., IA. Edwin Alvertis Huppert died on 8 April 1943 at Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA, at age 72. He was buried in April 1943 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA.

     Eldora Mae Huppert was also known as Ella. She was born on 5 December 1872. She was the daughter of Jacob Huppert and Susan Templin. Eldora Mae Huppert married Charles Delbert Brown on 21 February 1894. Eldora Mae Huppert lived in 1915 at South Dakota. She died on 11 April 1981 at Toronto, Deuel Co., SD, at age 108.

     Elizabeth Augusta Huppert was also known as Lizzie. She was born on 28 January 1875 at Benton Co., IA. She was the daughter of Jacob Huppert and Susan Templin. Elizabeth Augusta Huppert married William L. Palmer, son of Henry Hugh Palmer and Ellen I. Worthen, on 5 November 1895 at Vinton, Benton Co., IA. Elizabeth Augusta Huppert lived in 1915 at Tama Co., IA. She died on 3 May 1943 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA, at age 68. She was buried on 6 May 1943 at Dysart Cemetery, Dysart, Tama Co., IA.

     Eunice Mae Huppert was born on 8 June 1910 at Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA. She was the daughter of Willis Roy Huppert and Lucy Catherine Leckington. Eunice Mae Huppert married Albert Henry Carl Wagner, son of Louis Wagner and Clara (?), on 12 September 1926 at Elk Point, Union Co., SD. Eunice Mae Huppert died on 19 April 1981 at Menno, Hutchinson Co., SD, at age 70.

     Florence Irene Huppert was born on 17 June 1901 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA. She was the daughter of Edwin Alvertis Huppert and Rosa Ella Gulick. Florence Irene Huppert married Lyle Merle Jeffers, son of Samuel Harvey Jeffers and Orpha Wells, on 10 June 1922 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA. Florence Irene Huppert died on 30 September 1973 at Dixon, Lee Co., IL, at age 72.
