Frances Susan Huppert died on 11 September 1986 at Merrillville, Lake Co., IN, at age 70. She was buried in September 1986 at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery, Crown Point, Lake Co., IN, Findagrave #150882663.

Jacob Huppert, Pioneer Farmer,
Expires After Long Illness of
Cancer of Stomach

WASHBURN - Jacob Huppert, living two miles west of this place, who has been suffering from cancer of the stomach for some time, died at 2 p. m. yesterday.

Mr. Huppert was one of the pioneer residents of the county, living most of the time near La Porte City. About three years ago he moved to his present location. He was 62 years of age at the time of his death.

Deceased leaves ten children, most of whom are grown up. His aged wife also survives him.

The funeral services will be held from the home Sunday and the burial will be in the La Porte cemetery.

Deceased was one of the most popular farmers in the southern part of the county, having a host of friends who will, sympathy sincerely with the grief stricken family.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 o'clock at the home.

     John A. Huppert was born on 17 February 1904 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA. He was the son of Edwin Alvertis Huppert and Rosa Ella Gulick. John A. Huppert married Nellie Davis. John A. Huppert died on 1 February 1995 at age 90.

     Loren Elsworth Huppert was born on 15 March 1877. He was the son of Jacob Huppert and Susan Templin. Loren Elsworth Huppert married Ida Latham on 2 August 1897.      Maria Huppert was also known as "Mary". She was born on 20 October 1838 at Zell bei Einselthum (Kirchheimbolanden District), Rhein-Pfalz (now), Germany, or 1835 as per 1880 census.^1,2 She was the daughter of Heinrich Gerhard Huppert and Anna Margaretha Bauer. Maria Huppert married Joh. Ferdinand Luther on 1 September 1859 at Will Co., IL. Maria Huppert lived in July 1860 at Plainfield, Will Co., IL. She lived in August 1870 at Cedar Twp., Benton Co., IA, Living with the Jacob Frank family, and near her brother Jacob's family.¹ She and Joh. Ferdinand Luther were divorced; Mary was listed as "Hubbard" in the 1870 census, Benton County, Iowa, as was her daughter Louisa.¹ Maria Huppert lived in 1880 at Big Creek Twp., Black Hawk Co., IA, age 45, divorced, with the Lewis Triem family, and her daughter Clara and mother Margaret.² She married Matthias M. Kraitz, son of Adam Kraitz and Elizabeth Brandt, on 6 September 1888 at Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA.      Merle Cecil Huppert married Leslie Barbara Little, daughter of Charles Leslie Little and Dorothea Sale. Merle Cecil Huppert was born on 29 June 1917 at Dysart, Tama Co., IA. He was the son of Edwin Alvertis Huppert and Rosa Ella Gulick. Merle Cecil Huppert died on 31 January 2002 at Folsom, Sacramento Co., CA, at age 84.

     Myron Huppert was born on 23 November 1901 at La Porte City, Black Hawk Co., IA. He was the son of Henry Ulysses G. Huppert and Belle Goon. Myron Huppert married Marian Koontz on 24 May 1924. Myron Huppert died on 6 June 1968 at La Porte City, Black Hawk Co., IA, at age 66.

     Nikolaus Huppert was born on 22 January 1805 at Hassel, Saarland, Germany. He married Anna Maria Wahrheit on 26 November 1829 at Ommersheim, Saarland, Germany. Nikolaus Huppert died on 25 February 1860 at Neuweiler, Saarland, Germany, at age 55.

Barbara Ann Worth, born in Greentown, Ohio on July 5, 1934 to Helen Wendell and Charles Hurd, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durol Scherbinske; and her sister, Marjorie Thompson of Bakersfield, Calif. She is survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Wilson of La Grande, Ore. and Donna Brown of Pendleton, Ore; three sons, Ron, Jack and Arnie Scherbinske (name changed to Mike Lost); and one daughter, Pamela Hartz, all of Washington state. She has seven granddaughters: Julie, Natasha, Shayna, Samantha, Amanda, Sarah, Selina and Kristina; and two grandsons, Brian and Isaac. She has ten great-grandchildren. Barbara was married in Seattle on Feb. 27, 1952 and made her home in the SeaTac area. She moved to Bremerton in 1993 to be closer to her daughter. She loved her family very much and gave sacrificially. She will be deeply missed. Her internment will be at Ivy Green Cemetery, 1401 Naval Avenue, Bremerton. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Crossover Ministries; 3105 Judson St., Gig Harbor, WA 98335, located below Timberland Bank.

Barnesville, Warren Twp., Belmont Co., OH.¹ He married Ella Florence Morris on 8 July 1893 at Belmont Co., OH. Benjamin Franklin Hurd died on 20 December 1942 at Akron, Summit Co., OH, at age 74.
