WASHBURN - Jacob Huppert, living two miles west of this place, who has been suffering from cancer of the stomach for some time, died at 2 p. m. yesterday.
Mr. Huppert was one of the pioneer residents of the county, living most of the time near La Porte City. About three years ago he moved to his present location. He was 62 years of age at the time of his death.
Deceased leaves ten children, most of whom are grown up. His aged wife also survives him.
The funeral services will be held from the home Sunday and the burial will be in the La Porte cemetery.
Deceased was one of the most popular farmers in the southern part of the county, having a host of friends who will, sympathy sincerely with the grief stricken family.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 o'clock at the home.

Ferdinand Luther were divorced; Mary was listed as "Hubbard" in the 1870 census, Benton County, Iowa, as was her daughter Louisa.1 Maria Huppert lived in 1880 at Big Creek Twp., Black Hawk Co., IA, age 45, divorced, with the Lewis Triem family, and her daughter Clara and mother Margaret.2 She married Matthias M. She is survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Wilson of La Grande, Ore. and Donna Brown of Pendleton, Ore; three sons, Ron, Jack and Arnie Scherbinske (name changed to Mike Lost); and one daughter, Pamela Hartz, all of Washington state. She has seven granddaughters: Julie, Natasha, Shayna, Samantha, Amanda, Sarah, Selina and Kristina; and two grandsons, Brian and Isaac. She has ten great-grandchildren. Barbara was married in Seattle on Feb. 27, 1952 and made her home in the SeaTac area. She moved to Bremerton in 1993 to be closer to her daughter. She loved her family very much and gave sacrificially. She will be deeply missed. Her internment will be at Ivy Green Cemetery, 1401 Naval Avenue, Bremerton. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Crossover Ministries; 3105 Judson St., Gig Harbor, WA 98335, located below Timberland Bank.
