He most recently was serving on boards of the Insurance Committee of the Union League Club of Chicago, Governor's Arson Award Committee, Loss Executive Assn., Northern Illinois Adjusters Assn., and Central Illinois Adjusters Assn. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Williamson) Jacobson, whom he married Dec. 7, 1963, in LaCrosse, Wis; two children, Todd (Jeanette) Jacobson of Palos Verdes, Calif., and Eric (Nina) Jacobson of Bartlett; four grandchildren, Edwin, Josephine, Talia and Truman; and two brothers, Mark (Sue) Jacobson and Gary (Mary) Jacobson of Westby, Wis.
