He was the son of Caleb Sharpless Jackson and Mary Ann Gause.1 Prof. Josiah Jackson married Mary Price, daughter of Rev. John R. Price and Catherine Detweiler, on 25 December 1860 at Chester Co., PA.1

Julia Ann Jackson Hale
JOHNSON CITY -- Julia Ann Jackson Hale, age 64, 46 Cherokee Ridge Rd., died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at her residence following a brief illness.
Ms. Hale was a Johnson City native and a daughter of the late Robert Rance and Martha Kate Thomas Jackson.
She was a court reporter for the Johnson City court system.
Ms. Hale was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church as well as the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was also active in the Circle of Hope, Communion Steward and the Altar Guild.
She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Mrs. Hale was a longtime member of the Johnson City Junior Service League and the Bridge Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen A. Hale, in 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Hale Strasser and her husband Tim, Holly Springs, N.C., and Allsion Hale Linthicum and her husband Blair, Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and three grandchildren, Katie Strasser, Joseph Strasser and Ella Linthicum.
The graveside funeral service will be conducted Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in Monte Vista Memorial Park, with Rev. Betty Furches officiating. Those planning to attend graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:20 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Massey, Herb Roupas, Tom Palmer, John Humphreys, Gary Price and Donnie Hamilton. For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Rd., Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601, or the Friendship Sunday School Class, c/o First United Methodist Church, 900 Spring St., Johnson City, TN 37604. LaVern LaVina Jackson married Henry Hudson Trusty, son of William Henry Trusty and Dessie Mae Baggerly, on 18 August 1946 at New Albany, Floyd Co., IN, Laverne's son, Ray Stuart Trusty says that his mother was a pilot and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She and Henry Hudson Trusty were high school sweethearts. They went together for thirteen years before they were married. Ray says that the story he was told was that Lavern took Henry for a plane ride and told him "thirteen years was long enough, he would have to agree to marry her or walk home."

Funeral services for Mrs. Lovene Roberta Fahey, age 86 of Manchester, formerly a long time resident of Chicago, will be conducted Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Father Kelly officiating. Visitation with the Fahey family will be Wednesday from 12:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Fahey passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at Harton Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 12, 1922 in Galt, Missouri, the daughter of the late Merle and Edith Snapp Jackson. She was employed as a waitress for over 25 years, and then was employed as a Case Worker for the Veterans Administration until her retirement. In Chicago, she was a member of St. Theresa of the Little Flower Catholic Church. Mrs. Fahey moved to Manchester in November of 2007. Aside from her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 28 years Richard Charles Fahey who passed away in 1971, daughter, Mary Karnelski and a sister, Helen Bushnell.

Survivors include 3 sons, Richard Fahey of Chicago, Christopher and wife Deborah Fahey of West Palm Beach, FL, and Robert and wife Renee Fahey of Mountain Home, Idaho, and a daughter, Pat and husband Paul Gish of Manchester; son-in-law Jerry Karnelski of Chicago. Eight grandchildren, Mark and wife Jennifer Gish, Lori and Karen Gish, Shelly and husband Reggie Mitchell, Eric Karnelski, Sean, Christopher, and Sarah Fahey, Amanda and Erin Fahey. 3 great-grandchildren, Lauren Gish, and Nicholas and Leih Mitchell, one special niece, Barbara Prack of Chicago, Rose Mary and Stan Reynertsen of Naperville, IL., and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Fahey, Chris Fahey, Paul Gish, Mark Gish, and Will Morton.

Mrs. Janie Jackson left Sunday to visit her daughter, Mrs. Ed Money near Carwood. Three weeks ago Mrs. Jackson had two cancers removed, one under the arm and one on the breast. The wounds are doing nicely, one being entirely healed and the other almost. She says she is feeling fine and gaining in flesh.

Margaret J. Jackson was born October 6th, 1852, died Thursday evening, January 27th, 1921, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Stewart, 711 West Market street, New Albany, age sixty seven years, four months and twenty-one days.
She was united in marriage to Zephaniah Jackson June 5, 1873, to this union was born eight children, five girls and three boys, all of whom are living. Mrs. Ed Money, Mrs. Wm. Crain, Mrs. Frank Roerk, Mrs. Walter Stewart, Mrs. Lee Bauers, Clarence, Claude and Fred Jackson. She also leaves besides her children, nineteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Alonzo Cooley, besides a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Her husband having preceded her to the goodly land seven years ago, Jan. 18th.
She united with the Christian Church when a young girl, and remained a faithful servant of her Master until death. She had suffered for the past four years, but always bore her suffering with patience. She was a kind mother, and all who knew her was to love her.
Her last words were "I want to live till all my children get to my bedside and then I am ready to go at my Master's call to be with Him." At her request she was taken to the old home at Bridgeport Saturday evening, from there to the United Brethren church from which place the funeral was held Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. M. E. Apple.

She was buried in January 1921 at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Carr Twp., Clark Co., IN, Headstone inscription:

Mary Garnet Jackson married Benjamin Franklin Keibler, son of Joseph Keibler and Catherine Jane Richey, on 19 May 1934 at New Albany, Floyd Co., IN. Funeral services for Mary Garnet Keibler, 81, of Clarksville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Chapman Funeral Home, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. She died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, at Wedgewood Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Indiana and a member of Graceland Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Ralph Keibler, Kansas City, Missouri, Joseph Keibler, New Albany and Roy Keibler, Pekin; a daughter, Emma Jean Little, New Mexico; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be until 9 p.m. Fridy, Aug. 29, 1997.


She was buried in 1997 at Sellersburg Cemetery, Sellersburg, Clark Co., IN.
