Memorial services for Nona Z. Carr, age 61 of Norfolk, formerly of Oakdale, will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at the Community Bible Church in Norfolk with Pastor George Heusinger and Pastor Arin Hess officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Hoskins City Cemetery.

Arrangments are by Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden.

She died Sunday February 28, 2010, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Nona (Jenkins) Carr, daughter of William and Eileen Jenkins, was born on March 9, 1948 in Meadow Grove, Nebraska. Her entire life was spent in Northeast, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Carr on March 11, 1964. Nona and Ken had been active members of Community Bible Church since December 10, 1972. They lived in Meadow Grove and Oakdale areas until the death of her husband on March 26, 2006. She spent the final years of her life in a nursing home in Norfolk.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna of Omaha; five sons, Ronald of South Dakota, Tom of York, Douglas of Oakdale, Duane of Pennsylvania, Jeremiah of Norfolk; four brothers, Emory of Grand Island, Lloyd of Lincoln, Charles of Des Moines, Iowa and Larry of Marquette.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers.

She was buried in March 2010 at E.U.B. Cemetery, Hoskins, Wayne Co., NE, Findagrave #205959288.
