Accidentally drowned.
Elcena drowned when she steps into a deep hole in a creek outside of Oklahoma City where she and her family where picnicing. Elcena was holding her baby niece when she fell. Her husband ran to her and managed to save the neice but was unable to rescue Elcena. She was a young housewife when she died (age 16 yrs). She and her husband were just married in May.

An award of $4,004.52 was made to Joan Streily, widow of Richard F. Streily of West Homestead, who was shot and killed in a West Mifflin shopping center on Feb. 27, 1979.

On March 18, 1981, the board paid Mrs. Streily $2,000 for funeral expenses and $10,995.48 for loss of support. The additional amount covered additional loss of support.

Five were injured in two related chain-reaction collisions involving 11 vehicles Saturday morning on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Note: According to an affidavit filed in September 1942, and signed by Joseph Butler, "Father", John Joseph was born 5 OCT 1910 to Joseph Butler and a women that had died prior to the affidavit being prepared. Based on the timing, this affidavit was probably prepared and filed to correct an erroneous birth certificate in conjunction with preparation or registration for military service. DLB 2010.

John Joseph died in 1998 at Homestead, Allegheny Co., PA.
