MANSON - Tillie "Teddie" Hahn, 91, of Manson, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, in the Regency Manor Convalescent Center following an extended illness.
She was born May 9, 1903, to Andrew and Pauline (Hintz) Klapstein in Edmonton, Alberta. She attended school through the sixth grade then had to stay home and work on the family farm because of her mother's health.
She moved in 1918 with her family to Puyallup where she worked at a berry cannery and a plywood plant. She moved to Tacoma in 1920 and worked for the Brown and Haley Co. and then Dasheils restaurant, where she met Leonard Hahn. They were married Dec. 15, 1923, at Olympia.
They moved to Muscatine, Iowa, for six months and then returned to Tacoma. They moved to a four-acre berry farm in 1932, and raised and sold berries, shrubs and garden produce. In 1938 they bought and subdivided a 10-acre tract that had formerly been an orphanage. They moved in 1943 to Manson where they owned and operated several orchards.
Mrs. Hahn was a member of the Manson United Methodist Church, the Manson Grange, the American Legion Auxiliary and Republican Women.
Survivors include a son, Wally, of Manson; two granddaughters, Julie Belisle and Holly Minor, both of Manson; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, six brothers and a sister.
Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel in Chelan.

He was an avid gardener, growing vegetables until the age of 93.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army in the European theater.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and, in recent years, riding a 3-wheel bicycle all around Pekin. He also loved to dance in his later years.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Davis Mortuary in Delavan. Pastor Gary Ford of Grace United Methodist Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, also at Davis Mortuary.
Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
