from Tracy Devault:
There are several genealogies that show a Joseph Kitzmiller (b. 1828 in Maryland) as a son of Samuel and Catherine. I think these genealogies are in error. Census records show that this Joseph Kitzmiller was actually born Jan 1839 in Maryland. He was the son of Adam Kitzmiller and Lydia (Unknown) House-Kitzmiller.
Information on sons Hiram and Abdiel Kitzmiller was given to Newland DeVault by Mrs. Nicholas Kupsco (Edith Marie Roemer).

F, b. before 1910, d. before 1910
Kitzmiller died before 1910.1 She was born before 1910.1 She was the daughter of Eldridge Preston Kitzmiller and Elizabeth Jane Jackson.1
Note: This existence of this child is based on a literal interpretation of the 1910 census, where a "1" is shown in the column on Elizabeth's line, entitled "Mother of how many children". There is no entery in the next column, entitled "Number now living", which should have been a "0" for a deceased child. Another reasonable interpretation of the same listing is that Eldridge responded to the enumerator's question with a "one", based on his son Lee who had been born and died in Macoupin County. In the second interpretation, there was no child of Elizabeth Jackson born prior to 1910. DLB 2019.
