Charles Leo Kolakoski

At the Prince William Hospital in Manassas of pneumonia. He was a resident of Gainesville, VA, and was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Chellevold Kolakoski, in 1989.

After his military service, he moved to Virginia and became president of the Northern Virginia Master Plumbers Association when he was 29. He also served on the board of what is now Westwood Country Club in Vienna.

He owned and operated Clarendon Plumbing and Heating in Arlington County from 1946 until the early 1970s. He then became a licensed real estate agent and senior property manager with Rucker Enterprises in Arlington. He moved to Prince William County in 1994, and retired in 1999.

After his retirement, he worked part time as a census enumerator, and at the Vint Hill recreation center for the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department.

He is survived by five daughters, Paula Lassiter, Sue Harlow, Doris Deering-Kjellevold, Mary Lewis, & Janet Kolakoski; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
