Joseph F. Kun
Joseph F. Kun, 54, of 1620 Keith drive NE, a lifelong Cedar Rapids resident, died Monday after a long illness. Born April 23, 1915, in Cedar Rapids, he was married to Phyllis Dye June 15, 1946. He was employed for 29 years as a food processor for the Witwer Co. For the last 1 1/2 years he had done janitorial work for the LeFebure Corp. A veteran of the army in World war II, he was a member of the Hanford American Legion post.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Joseph; a sister, Martha Peck, and two brothers, John and Carl, all of Cedar Rapids.

Services: Brosh chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Very Rev. Canon D. A. Loferski. Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after noon Wednesday.

He was buried in March 1970 at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA.

ROGERSVILLE -- August Kunstmann, age 84, Rogersville died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home, Rutledge following an extended illness.

He was a member of Faith Assembly and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by parents, Gottfried and Maria Bassner Kunstmann.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kunstmann of the home; daughter, Linda Chodak and husband, Tom, Cleveland, WI; son, Larry Kunstmann and wife, Diane, Sheboygan, WI; grandchildren, Krystal Kunstmann, Summer Gauvreau and Joseph Chodak; a great grandchild; brother, Earnest Kunstmann and wife, Ann, Sheboygan; step-sons, Gene Ivey and wife, Geri, Surgoinsville and Fred Ivey and wife, Cheryl, Washington; three step-grandchildren and a step-great grandchild.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2004 at Faith Assembly with Rev. Billy Ray Courtney officiating.
