(probably), MD, A Johann Heinrich Kreiss, born about 1730 in Germany, immigrated before the Revolution and settled at Frederick County, Maryland. He married Maria Eiser on 10 JAN 1760 at Baltimore, Maryland. Heinrich was probably the grandfather or possibly great-uncle of Mary Krise who married John Swigart in Ohio. DLB 2019.1,2,3 She married John Swigart, son of Johann Peter Schweigert. Mary Krise died on 20 November 1872 at Bath Twp. (probably), Greene Co., OH, at age 79 Living with daughter Susan Stewart at the 1870 census date.3 She was buried in November 1872 at Beaver Cemetery, Beavercreek Twp., Greene Co., OH.

A native of Lithuania, Mr. Christian had lived in Amsterdam for 45 years and during his residence here, worked in the Kayser Silk Mill, Blood Knitting Company and Chalmers knitting mill.
He was a member of St. Casimir's Church and enjoyed the esteem of a large circle of friends.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Christian; one daughter, Bernice Morris, this city; four sons. Joseph J. Christian, Margaretville, N.Y. William P. Christian, Amsterdam; Stanley G. Christian, Valparaiso, Ind., and Charles R. Christian, Utlca; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and severel nieces and nephews.
He was buried in September 1952 at Saint Casimir Cemetery, Amsterdam, Montgomery Co., NY, Findagrave #182344766.

Prof. Abraham F. K. Krout was born on 2 February 1843.1 He was the son of Henry Krout and Rachel Fretz.1 Prof. Abraham F. K. Krout married Mary C. Moyer, daughter of Jacob D. Moyer and Christina Price, on 1 October 1868.1 Prof. Abraham F. K. Krout died Prof. Krout, at the age of 19 years, entered the North Wales Pa., Institute, where he remained about one year; began teaching fall of 1862 and taught successively the Deep Run, Rocky Ridge, Algard, Seilersville and Plumsteadville schools in Bucks Co; in 1868, took charge of the West Bethlehem schools, Lehigh Co., and in 1869 became principal of the Coplay schools, same county. In June, 1883, he gave up teaching to become the accountant and cashier for the Coplay Iron Co., a position he held until Oct., 1888. In the fall of 1889, he took charge of the borough schools of Emlenton, Pa. Next was principal and supervisor of the Lehighton borough schools and later principal at Wyoming, Pa., still later connected with Temple College, Philadelphia. In 1877, Franklin & Marshall College conferred on him the degree of A.M. Member of Penna. State Teachers Association since 1877; of the Tourey Botanical Club of Columbia College, N.Y., since October, 1881. Was Justice of the Peace for the borough of Coplay, 1869-1890; secretary of town council for 13 years and school director for 5 years. Was active in the founding of Trinity Reformed church in 1872; served as Deacon and for many years was secretary of the Consistory and was superintendent of the Sunday school for 18 years.2
