Brady, daughter of Gilbert Brady and Mary Van Horne, in 1864. Occupation: Physician. Dr. James Larimore died on 18 August 1904 at Newark, Licking Co., OH, at age 64 OBITUARY - The Newark Daily Advocate, Newark (OH), August 19, 1904
One of the Best Known Physicians of Newark Passed Away at His Home in West Main Street Thursday Evening - The Funeral Saturday.
Dr. James Larimore, one of Newark's most prominent and most esteemed citizens, died at his home on West main street, on Thursday evening at 8:15 o'clock, after an illness of some time with a complication of diseases. He had been in failing health for the past two or three years, and several months ago was taken seriously ill but rallied and it was thought that he was on the road to recovery. He however grew worse again and on Friday, August 12, was compelled to take to his bed. From that time he rapidly grew worse.
On Thursday evening about 7:40 o'clock, he was sitting on a sofa with his son James and was engaged in quoting scripture and singing hymns. About 8 o'clock his son assisted him to his bed, when he immediately dropped off to sleep, and died in fifteen minutes.
Dr. Larimore was born on March 5, 1840, on the old Larimore farm, two miles west of Licking church, in Union township Licking county, and was married on November 16, 1865, to Miss Arabella W. Brady daughter of the late Gilbert Brady, one of the pioneer settlers of Licking county. From this union two children were born J. A. Larimore of the Postal Telegraph company, Pittsburg, and Corrington H. Larimore, who died April 7, 1893.
When quite young the deceased educated himself for the practice of Medicine, and had been engaged in the practice of his profession in Newark for over forty years. For the past 25 years he had been surgeon for the Pennsylvania railroad company at his point and portion of that time was surgeon for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad company.
The deceased was held in the highest esteem and respect by all who knew him. He was a high-minded scholarly gentleman, a loving husband and father, and a good citizen.
For many years he had been a faithful and consistent member of the Second Presbyterian church, and was also a prominent Mason and Knight Templar.
He is survived by his widow and one son, James. One brother and two sisters also survive him, being John Larimore of Union Station, and Mrs. Caroline Kirkendall of Columbus and Mrs. Sarah Howland, widow of A. T. Howland of this city.
The funeral will take place from the house on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., under the auspices of Newark Lodge, No. 97, F. & A. M. St. Luke's Commandery No. 34, K. T., will attend as an escort. The services will be conducted by Rev. L. S. Boyce, pastor of the FIrst Presbyterian church, and interment will be made in Cedar Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Larimore's Condition
In comparison with a few days ago the condition of Mrs. Larimore, widow of Dr. J. Larimore, is considerable improved, as she was able to sit up on Thursday. It is hoped the improvement will continue.

DELAVAN, IL - Jeffrey Douglas Larimore of Delavan passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.
Jeff's earthly life has ended, but his eternal life has just begun as he went home to be with his Lord. His life was devoted to his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jeff was the seventh child of Daniel Thomas and Mary Lou Larimore, who preceded him in death. Born Nov. 6, 1961, at Hopedale Hospital, Jeff soon developed many hobbies and interests, including his love of dogs, horses, chickens, the Chicago Bears, photography, vacationing with his church buddies, and visiting relatives in Alabama.
Jeff graduated from Delavan High School in 1979. He then earned a college diploma in Christian Education at Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. Upon returning to his hometown, he worked for the city of Delavan for the last 20 years. Most recently, he was promoted to the position of Public Services Superintendent.
Besides his brother and sisters, Jeff's second family was Prairie Bible Church, which he attended for the past 27 years. Jeff was an elder in the church, but his greatest love was working with the youth. He taught both Sunday school and Youth Ministry classes.
Jeff will be greatly missed by his loving family, sisters, Carol Ross, Lana (Will) Staelens, Darla (Ralph) Walters, Dana (Bob) Burton, Jacqui (Kevin) Dodson and Lori (Tom) Newman; and his brother, Dan (Aretta) Larimore. He leaves behind 15 nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and -nephews.

John Larimore died on 9 April 1911 at Granville, Licking Co., OH, at age 79 OBITUARY - The Granville (Ohio) Times, April 13, 1911
JOHN LARIMORE
Was born October 7, 1831 and died on Sunday morning, April 9, at 1:15 o'clock after an illness of several months with organic heart trouble. Mr. Larimore had been in poor health for some time, and during the holidays, accompanied by his wife and daughter, Mrs. Jessie Browne, went to Jacksonville, Florida, where he spent the winter months with his son, Bruce, in the hope that the climate would benefit him. After remaining for several months he returned to his home in Granville where he rapidly declined until death ended his sufferings.
He was one of seven children, four daughters and three sons of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Larimore of near Union Station, where they were all brought up, all of whom have died except Mrs. Caroline Kirkendall of Columbus. Those preceding were Mrs. Jeheil Tedrick, Mrs. Harry Buckland, Mrs. Al Howland, Mr. Dan and James Larimore.
On November 9, 1854 Mr. Larimore was married to Miss Minerva Lane daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lane of near Union Station. To this union were born five sons and four daughters. They are Wm. G., of Union Station; George, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Richard C. of Winfield, Ks; Bruce of Jacksonville, Fla; Dr. Fred of Port Washington, Ohio; Mrs. John R. Black of Licking church; Mrs. Sherman White of Bucyrus; Mrs. Fannie Perry, of Delaware, and Mrs. Jessie Brown who lives at home. All of the children were at home at the time of his death excepting Mr. Bruce Larimore who arrived here Monday. All five of the sons, together with Mr. John R. Black acted as pallbearers. His children have been untiring and always ready and willing hands to every want, as their mother in the past years has been greatly hindered by failing eyesight. There are also 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Larimore was a prominent farmer in Union township all his life until a few years ago when he moved to Granville. In his latter years he traveled considerably visiting all his children who are widely separated. He was a man of more than ordinary intelligence, and was well posted on all topics.
He was a devoted husband, a thoughtful and exemplary father, and industrious and true man, a good neighbor and citizen. Having led an active business life through a long career it was hard for him to realize that he was growing old.
He became a member of the Licking Baptist church in January 1895 and remained a faithful and loyal member until he died. His former pastor in his discourse at the funeral said "It was my privilege to visit him a week ago. It was beautiful to note his love for his children and that their children, and friends generally, and a special comfort to see his faith and joy in the promise of his Savior. Repeatedly saying he was ready to go."
"The sunset speaks but fully of the glories of Another Day. All is well."
The funeral services were held from his late home on East College street, Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock and interment was made on the family lot of Richard Lane in beautiful Maple Grove cemetery.
