Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):

Judith was born in Olean, NY, on September 22, 1938 to Lloyd and Harriett (nee Ort) Lauser.

She first came to the Sacramento area in 1959 while serving with the United States Air Force at Travis Air Force Base. She often told her husband and children that the first time she saw California she fell so in love with the state that she swore she would never leave.

She and her husband Lucio "Lou" Aparicio of Colton, CA have been residents of the Latrobe Hills area since 1978. She would tell anyone who would lend an ear of the joyful 34 years of marriage she enjoyed and of how she and Lou fulfilled their mutual lifelong dream of a ranch home surrounded by farm animals. Her love of horses and equestrian sports was her reason for living here in Latrobe, and that love for horses has now been passed on to her granddaughter Jacquie Dugan.

She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Douglas Lauser and her sister Sharon Bussone (nee Lauser). She is survived by her husband; her two sons James Dugan of Clovis, CA and Paul Aparicio of West Palm Beach, FL; her daughter Sandra Digman (nee Dugan) of Avon, OH; her sister, Carolyn Lauser Jacobs of Avondale, AZ; her stepchildren Ann Aparicio and Jason Aparicio; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

The Aparicios are well known in the Latrobe, El Dorado Hills, and Folsom areas and have been active parishioners of Saint Johns Catholic Church in Folsom. She was also a devout member and supporter of the National Parks Conservation Association, Amnesty International, the Trust for Public Land, Natural Resources Defense Counsel, the Sacramento SPCA, World Wildlife Fund, and a card-carrying member of the ACLU who would not hesitate to engage anyone in social or political debate.

Her memorial services will begin with a mass on Wednesday November 22nd at Saint Johns Catholic Church in Folsom at 9:00 am and will continue at Green Valley Mortuary and Cemetery with a graveside service.

Parts published in the Sacramento Bee.

LAVENDER -- DAVAULT

Some sixty or more friends assembled at the home of Mr and Mrs Alf Davault Wednesday evening the 8th, to witness the taking on of wedding vows by Mr Moses G. Lavender and Miss Angeline Davault.
Introductory to the service, a song, Hearts and Flowers, with transpositions, was sweetly and with appropriateness rendered by Miss Floye See.
In a room trimmed with mistletow, palms and flowers and as the wedding march was being played by Miss Edith Davault, Mr Bruce Davault and Miss Susie Pemberton led the way for the unassuming couple. Rev J W Ham in a very pretty and sufficiently solemn service pronounced them man and wife.
To the dining room next assembled, a full course supper was served which exemplified the splendid reputation of Mrs Davault and daughters as artisans in preparing delectables.
The evening was pleasantly passed and Mr and Mrs Lavender received a shower of congratulations from the friends assembled.
The list of presents was large and contained many handsome and valuable ones.
Miss Angie is the oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Alf Davault. She is a great favorite, not only with Mr Lavender, but with all. She is one or our best musicians and for church and Sunday School work she is unexcelled. The members of her Sunday School class cling to her with love and affection.
Mr Lavender was born near Jonesburg. Some seven years ago he came to New Florence and began his work with the LEADER and but for a brief stay in Colorado has been with us continuously. His devotion to his work, his exemplary christian life merit from us our highest praise. No young man enjoys the confidence of the people more than he.
They are now keeping house in the White property with life's happiness before them.
