     Lydia Lester was born circa 1820 at Virginia.¹ She married William M. Dollinger on 10 January 1852 at Washington Co., VA. Lydia Lester died after 10 June 1880 at Scott Co. (probably), VA, was living with daughter Sarah Cleek's family as of the 1880 census.

     Mary E. Lester was born in January 1867 at Kansas. She married William Eli Shaffer on 2 July 1887 at Morris Co., KS, Three children born, two living as of the 1900 census.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Lester was born on 22 June 1862 at Pine River, Waushara Co., Wisconsin.¹ She was the daughter of Erastus Bates Lester and Almeda Jane Clayton. Mary Elizabeth Lester married Benjamin Franklin Winterstein, son of William Henry Winterstein and Susan Larimore, circa 1884, five children born, three living as of 1900 census.¹ Mary Elizabeth Lester died on 26 July 1924 at Klickitat Co., WA, at age 62. She was buried in July 1924 at Spring Creek Cemetery, Goldendale, Klickitat Co., WA.

     Mary Virginia Lester was born on 28 March 1851. She married Judge Thomas Sidney Reese. Mary Virginia Lester died on 21 January 1904 at age 52. She was buried in January 1904 at Hempstead Cemetery, Hempstead, Waller Co., TX, Findagrave #55674169.

     Vinie May Lester was born on 25 December 1874 at Gibson Twp., Washington Co., IN. She married John E. Cathcart on 19 February 1890 at Washington Co., IN. Vinie May Lester died in August 1894 at age 19.

     Ann White Letcher was also known as "Nannie". She was born on 20 February 1846 at Garrard Co., KY.² She was the daughter of James Hughes Letcher and Nancy Kennedy.³ Ann White Letcher married Edward Atkinson, son of George Atkinson and Lucy Ann Holloway, on 5 September 1866, Eight children born to the marriage, four living as of 1900 and again in 1910.^1,4 Ann White Letcher lived on 2 June 1900 at 1056 Washington Boulevard, Chicago, Cook Co., IL.⁴ She died on 30 April 1927 at Oak Park, Cook Co., IL, at age 81.

     James Hughes Letcher was born circa 1801 at Kentucky.¹ He married Nancy Kennedy.¹ James Hughes Letcher died on 2 February 1875 at Henderson Co., KY.

     Jewell Bessie Lett was born on 3 June 1912 at Cherryvale, Montgomery Co., KS. She was the daughter of Hiram Matthew Lett and Lela Belle Barker.¹ Jewell Bessie Lett married Albert Kessner Kiddoo, son of Albert Ross Kiddoo and Lula Ethel Stoner, on 21 October 1934. Major Jewell Bessie Kiddoo of Owasso, OK, formerly of Neodesha, KS, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at the Evergreen Care Center in Owasso. She was 96.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at the Grace Baptist Church in Neodesha under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Pastor Jim Logan will officiate.

Interment will be in Neodesha Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church.

Jewell Bessie Lett was born to Matthew and Lela Lett at Cherryvale, Kansas on June 3, 1912. She was saved at the age of twelve in an Interdenominational "Rose" Revival Meeting.

She was raised in a Christian home by her mother because her father, Matthew, died when she was very young. Her mother gave her a practical faith in God, teaching her that "where there is a will, there is a way". She also taught Jewell that God will surely do His part if we do our part and stay true to Him.

Following graduation from High School, Jewell attended the Pittsburg State Teachers College for three years receiving a teacher's certificate. At the age of eighteen she wondered away from the Lord for about six years.

She married Albert Kessner Kiddoo on October 21, 1934. Soon afterward the couple became involved in the Nazarene Church in Coffeyville, Kansas, where they re-dedicated their lives to Christ.

This marriage was blessed with three children: Donna Kay, Albert Matthew and Patricia Anne, all born in the late 1930's and early 1940's. He preceded her in death August 12, 2007.

In the mid 1940's Jewell became a teacher in the "Released Time Bible School" program in Coffeyville, Kansas. It was while teaching in this program that she became acquainted with The Salvation Army. They started attending the corps and soon became soldiers and local officers. Soon after this, she felt the call to full time service.

In 1949, Jewell and Albert became Envoy's and were sent to the St. Joseph, Missouri Corps as assistants and then to the Kansas City # 3 Corps in command. In 1951 they entered the School for Officer Training as Cadets in the Intercessors Session. They were commissioned on June 16, 1952, to the rank of Probationary Lieutenant and sent to Topeka, Kansas in command.

She was described as one with abundant energy, good experience, a willingness to work, a gifted teacher and especially intelligent in her knowledge of the Bible. Jewell, who played the accordion, delighted folks in care residences where she loved visiting.

Together Jewell and Albert served at Ft. Scott, El Dorado, Junction City and Independence, Kansas. In 1962 they were sent to the Central Illinois Divisional Headquarters at Peoria where she served as the Divisional Nurse's Fellowship Secretary for two years. They returned to corps work in 1964 and served at Galesburg, Illinois, and Atchison, Kansas.

In 1967 they were appointed to the Evangeline House in Kansas City, Missouri, for one year before going to El Dorado, Kansas, for a second time. In 1971, they were appointed to Coffeyville, Kansas. They retired from active service from Newton, Kansas on June 27, 1974.

She is survived by one son, Albert M. Kiddoo of Wichita, KS; two daughters: Kay Klingenberg of Owasso, OK and Major Patricia Kiddoo of Clearwater, FL; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Earl, Vilas, and Cleo; and two sisters, Ruby and Opal.

     Anna L. Letts was born on 25 October 1870 at Morgan Twp., Knox Co., OH. She was the daughter of Jackson Letts and Sarah Larimore.

     Clara Bell Letts was born on 19 February 1874 at Knox Co., OH. She was the daughter of Jackson Letts and Sarah Larimore. Clara Bell Letts married Herbert Marks Marshall circa 1904. Clara Bell Letts died on 8 August 1968 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 94.

     Frank L. Letts was born on 14 November 1868 at Morgan Twp., Knox Co., OH. He was the son of Jackson Letts and Sarah Larimore.

     Harley Eugene Letts was born on 9 January 1921 at Kalkaska Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Walter Earl Letts Sr. and Nina Opal Lovell.¹ Harley Eugene Letts began military service on 28 May 1943 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI, WW II service, enlisted. He married Leontine Loraine Byron, daughter of Neil Byron and Ruby Pearl Foster. Harley Eugene Letts died on 17 January 1993 at Traverse City, Grand Traverse Co., MI, at age 72. He was buried in January 1993 at Fairview Cemetery, Manton, Wexford Co., MI, Findagrave #76069028.

     Harold Wilson Letts was born on 2 November 1917. He was the son of Walter Earl Letts Sr. and Nina Opal Lovell.¹ Harold Wilson Letts married Marion Florence Born, daughter of Arthur Ezra Born and Katherine Van Steensel, on 15 October 1939 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. Harold Wilson Letts died on 2 March 1999 at age 81.

     Jackson Letts married Sarah Larimore, daughter of Thomas Larimore and Jemima Huddleston, on 26 October 1862 at Ohio.

     Jewel Elizabeth Letts was born on 10 June 1923 at Michigan.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Earl Letts Sr. and Nina Opal Lovell.¹ Jewel Elizabeth Letts married Leon Morri Baker, son of Forest Andrew Baker and Alma Margaret Van Natter, on 23 September 1943 at Flint, Genesee Co., MI. Jewel Elizabeth Letts died on 13 January 2005 at Manton, Wexford Co., MI, at age 81.

     Mary Ella Letts was born on 9 January 1866 at Morgan Twp., Knox Co., OH. She was the daughter of Jackson Letts and Sarah Larimore.

     Michael Wayne Letts was born on 17 May 1940 at Cadillac, Wexford Co., MI. He was the son of Harold Wilson Letts and Marion Florence Born. Michael Wayne Letts died on 25 June 2010 at Manton, Wexford Co., MI, at age 70.

     Minnie Letts was born on 18 August 1863 at Morgan Twp., Knox Co., OH. She was the daughter of Jackson Letts and Sarah Larimore. Minnie Letts married John Ewart on 4 February 1882.

     Walter Earl Letts Sr. was born on 24 March 1894 at Bryant, Jay Co., IN. He was the son of William Morten Letts and Emma Carrie Mann. Walter Earl Letts Sr. married Nina Opal Lovell, daughter of Lewis Alan Lovell and Elizabeth Catherine Nutter, in 1915. Walter Earl Letts Sr. died on 29 October 1979 at Michigan at age 85.
