     Stanford Lewis was born in February 1839 at Indiana. He was the son of Stanford Lewis and Elizabeth (?) Stanford Lewis married Mariah E. Reger, daughter of Lorenzo Dow Reger and Virginia Windell, on 15 October 1868 at Adams Twp., Madison Co., IN. Stanford Lewis lived in 1870 at Henry, Fulton Co., IN. He lived in 1880 at Adams Twp., Madison Co., IN. He died in 1928.

     Vera Evelyn Lewis was born on 20 September 1919 at Roanoke, Huntington Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of Wilford Roscoe Lewis and Ethel Sonner.¹ Vera Evelyn Lewis married John Joseph Dyczko, son of Wasil Dyczko and Julianna Chachulski, in 1934. Vera Evelyn Lewis died on 22 March 1982 at Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., IN, at age 62.      Virginia Ann Lewis was born on 16 December 1844 at Charlotte Co., VA.¹ She married Harvey Deskins Wells circa 1867. Virginia Ann Lewis died on 4 August 1936 at Nelson Co., VA, at age 91.

Miss Virginia Lewis Will Become Bride of Earl Samuel Fitz

Invitations have been sent out by Charles Henry Lewis for the coming wedding of his daughter, Miss Virginia Washington Lewis to Earl Samuel Fitz.

The wedding will take place on September 14th, at 5 o'clock, at "The Moorings," in Jefferson County, West Virginia.

Miss Lewis is well known in Hanover, having been a frequent visitor at the home of Miss Nellie Fitz. She is the great granddaughter of the former Rear Admiral Lewis.

Mr. Fitz is the son of the late Jacob Fitz and the nephew of Mrs. John Fitz and C. E. Moul, of this place. He is employed at the Hanover Wire Cloth Company.

Earl Samuel Fitz, youngest son of the late John (sic) Fitz, of this place, and Miss Virginia Lewis, of "The Moorings," near Charleston, W. Va., were married at the home of the bride Tuesday evening, September 14.

Among those present at the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Ervin M. Fitz, of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. John E. Meisenhelder, Misses Nellie and Lucy Fitz and Leslie Kriner, of this place.

After a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Fitz will be at home at No. 317 Abbottstown street.

The groom is a machinist at the Hanover Wire Cloth plant.

THE MOORINGS, the home of Charles H. Lewis, was the scene of an attractive wedding on Tuesday last, when his daughter, Miss Virginia Washington Lewis, became the bride of Mr. Earl S. Fitz, of Hanover, Pennsylvania.

The bride was beautifully attired in white crepe de chine and carried a shower bouquet of Bride roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor, miss Ann Catherine Lewis, sister of the bride, wore green crepe de chine and carried pink roses. Mr. Howard Leslie Kriner, Chambersburg, Pa., was best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Arthur M. Lewis, uncle of the bride, assisted by the Rev. R. C. Cowling, of Wickliffe, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Fitz will make their home in Hanover, Pa.

Sonner and Rachel E. Byrd, on 21 November 1903 at Wabash Co., IN.      William Lewis was born circa 1810 at North Carolina.¹ He married Cynthia Ann Cornelius on 26 February 1834 at Greene Co., IL. William Lewis began military service Mexican War service, Co. D, 1st Illinois Foot Volunteers, per headstone inscription. He died after 22 July 1870 at Greene Co., IL. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Greenfield, Greene Co., IL, Findagrave #44616548.

     William F. Lewis was born on 12 February 1909. He began military service on 3 April 1941 at Detroit, Wayne Co., MI, WW II service, enlisted, U.S. Army, PFC. He married Edna A.      William H. Lewis married Hannah (?).¹

     Wilma Fern Lewis was born on 8 January 1913. She married Lester E. Moore. Wilma Fern Lewis died on 1 June 2003 at age 90. She was buried in June 2003 at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Barton Co., KS, Findagrave #78649216.

     Wilson Kohen Lewis was born on 26 June 1839 at Madison Co., AR. He married Sarah Lucinda Foster in March 1876 at Washington Co., AR. Wilson Kohen Lewis died on 29 February 1904 at Walnut Shade, Taney Co., MO, at age 64.

     Winslow Lewis Jr. was born on 25 March 1937. He died on 21 September 2012 at age 75.

     Winslow Thomas Lewis was born on 9 February 1865 at Winton, Ontario, Canada. He married Florence Virginia Fray, daughter of Joseph E. Fray and Frances Keturah Rosenberger, on 1 August 1902 at Washington, District of Columbia. Winslow Thomas Lewis died on 8 August 1943 at San Diego, San Diego Co., CA, at age 78.

Salem Oregon - Jim Lexau Sr. passed away peacefully on the morning of June 15th in Salem, Oregon.

Born in Minneapolis, MN, he was the third of four children of James Christopher and Rose Lexau. The family moved to southern California in 1937 and as a young man Jim enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean Conflict.

He was honorably discharged in 1952 and settled in Canoga Park, California where he worked for Douglas Aircraft.

Jim married Angela Perks in 1957 and they were soon joined by three children. The family moved to Herald, California where their youngest son was born in 1963. Jim worked for the Civil Service in those years and the family ran a small 30 acre farm.

In 1978 he married Violet Mettler and gained a stepson. Jim and Vi moved to Lebanon, Oregon in 2005 where they lived in the country and enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and fishing throughout the west.

Jim is survived by his children: Lani Perman, James Russell Lexau Jr., Kelly Allman and Robert Lexau; stepson, Steven Nichols; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Donations to Hospice may be made in lieu of flowers.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Salem, Oregon, Saturday July 1, 2017.
