Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):

Jacob was born to Charles Montgomery Bacon (1761-1822) and Eva Neumann (1757-1850) in Washington County and lived there as farmer for all of his life. In the 1850 census, it is noted that the farm was in the 4th Subdivision, E District of Washington County. The value of the farm was listed at $2000, which was better than average in the day.

Jacob married Elizabeth Keebler on 2 Oct 1821 in Washington County. Elizabeth was the daughter of Rev. Jacob Armay Keebler and Mary Barbara Young.

Jacob and Elizabeth had the following children:

David "Nelson" Bacon, b. 1825; d. 1913; m. Matilda Range in 1843.
Julia E. Bacon, b. 1826; d. 1854; m. James Francis White in 1843.
Charles Franklin Bacon, b. 1827; d. 1880; m. Sarah White in 1842.
Mary Jane Bacon, b. 1828; m. Whitfield Silas Burson in 1847.

William Henry Harrison Bacon, b. 1840; d. 1882; m. Mary Jane Thomas in 1865. (wounded at the "Battle of Franklin".)

Jacob is likely buried in this cemetery but has yet to be verified. His brother's family is also buried here.

He was buried in October 1859 at Bacon Cemetery, Washington Co., TN, Findagrave #208415350.

James M. Bacon1

M, b. 23 September 1858, d. 16 March 1911
James M. Bacon was born on 23 September 1858 at Washington Co., TN.1 He was the son of Jesse Bacon and Mary Keefauver.1 James M. Bacon married Mary Abigail Miller circa 1879, James and Mary had no biological children, as evidenced by the 1900 census on which Mary, aged 40, reported zero children born to the marriage. The child, Mary Carroll, listed with them in 1900, was apparently an adopted, or perhaps "raised by" step-daughter. The Bacons subsequently adopted siblings Leola B. and Andrew Jackson "A.J." Range, children of Allie L. (Bacon) and Andrew Jackson Range, Sr., after Allie's death. Allie was a cousin of James Bacon. The children were raised by the Bacons with their birth surnames.

James M. Bacon died on 16 March 1911 at Washington Co., TN, at age 52. He was buried in March 1911 at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Washington Co., TN.
