David Clemens Lung-Kitzmiller1
M, b. 11 March 1905, d. 30 January 1967
David Clemens Lung-Kitzmiller was also known as David Clemmie Kitzmiller; David used the surname "Kitzmiller" in adulthood -- he may or may not have had it legally changed. He was born on 11 March 1905 at Harr, Sullivan Co., TN; per Tennessee Delayed Certificate of Birth, file no. D-150090, approved 21 JUL 1942. David apparently believed he had been born at Abingdon, Washington County, Virginia, per his WW II draft registration. The Delayed Certificate includes an affidavit by Chessie O. (McCray) Kitzmiller, that states she was present at David's birth. On 11 MAR 1905, Chessie would have been just 13 (birth date January 1892). This fact stongly implies that David was born in the home of Eula's parents. The affidavits name "Charley Lung" as David's father. DLB 2022.1
He was the son of Charles Long, Lung, or Lang and Eulia Florence McCray.1 David Clemens Lung-Kitzmiller married Mamie Clark on 16 November 1928 at Scott Co., VA. David Clemens Lung-Kitzmiller and Mamie Clark were divorced before 15 April 1930; ; a legal divorce is assumed -- Mamie lived until 1941 and was Mamie Epperson at the time of her death. David Clemens Lung-Kitzmiller lived on 15 April 1930 at Civil District 12, Sullivan Co., TN, l; listed as David K. Pitts, in the household of Emery Pitts, age 25, single, laborer in cement plant.2 He married Catherine Virginia Allen after 15 April 1930, Catherine is listed on the 1930 census living with her parents in the Gladeville District, Wise County, VA, marital status "S." David Clemens Lung-Kitzmiller lived on 1 April 1935 at Riverside, Riverside Co., CA.3 He lived on 2 April 1940 at San Francisco, San Francisco Co., CA, truck driver.3 He died on 30 January 1967 at Marin Co., CA, at age 61
