Sarah A. "Sally" Plish, 63, of Martz Street, Berwick, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at the Orlando Regional Healthcare Center in Florida.
Born Oct. 13, 1946, in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Campbell) Lynch. On Jan. 9, 1981, she married Casper C. Plish, and they celebrated 29 years of marriage.
She was a 1964 graduate of the Saint Cyril Academy, Danville, and a 1968 graduate of Bloomsburg University.
An elementary school teacher, Mrs. Plish began her teaching career in the Mifflinville school system, spent a brief time teaching in the Islip, N.Y., school system and later retired from Central Columbia schools after 34 years of teaching art.
She was a member of the Berwick Elks Club and Bloomsburg University Alumni Association.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling, going on cruises, baking Christmas cookies, and getting together with friends for a good time.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one stepdaughter, Autumn Blaszko, her husband Adam, and a grandson, Avery. Several cousins also survive her.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom Funeral Home, Kissimmee, Fla.
A private memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family.

Edmund Lyne was born at Williamsburg area, Virginia. He was the son of William Lyne II. Edmund Lyne began military service Revolutionary War patriot. He was given a warrant or warrants for land in the Virginia Military District of Ohio, as he lived and died at his Kentucky residence. In the 1799 probate case after his death, 4,000 acres of land in Ohio was distributed or disposed of.3
He lived at Cane Ridge, Bourbon Co., KY.4 He died in November 1791 at Bourbon Co., KY,

Edmund Lyne, the fourth brother, was a man of fine sense and of high character. He removed to Kentucky before our grandfather, and settled on a farm he owned on Cane Ridge, Bourbon County where he died, unmarried, in November 1791. He, with James Barbour, William Fleming, and William Trigg (counties in Kentucky were named after the two last) were appointed by Virginia as Commissioners, to hear and determine all disputes relative to land claims in Kentucky, and to grant certificates to those who had settled in the State and, by preemption, acquired a right to lands. This at the time was regarded as a momentous trust, requiring unimpeachable honesty and integrity.
In 1786 Edmund Lyne, Isaac Shelby, and Richard Taylor were appointed Commissioners to adjust claims arising out of the expedition of General George Rodgers Clark and Colonel Ben Logan, against the Shawnee and Wabash Indians.
He was also Commissioner with Ben Logan, Green Clay, Isaac Shelby, and John Marshall Jr., to receive subscriptions to open and establish a road from the falls of Great Kanawha to Lexington, Kentucky, and one of the trustees with Daniel Boone and others to lay out the town of Washington, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, (now Washington, in Mason County.)4
