     Laura Eunice Maupin was born on 21 September 1864 at Washington Co., TN.^2,1 She was the daughter of George Willis Maupin and Rebecca A. Hilbert.² Laura Eunice Maupin married John Richard Chinouth, son of James Matison Chinouth and Martha Ann Brown, in 1882. Laura Eunice Maupin died on 30 July 1941 at age 76. She was buried in August 1941 at Highland Church of Christ Cemetery, Gray, Washington Co., TN, Findagrave #61119943.

     Heinrich Maurer lived at Homburg, Saarland, Germany. He was born on 16 February 1806. He married Karolina Munzinger, daughter of Christian Walter Munzinger and Maria Elisabeth Wild, on 4 September 1834 at Bruchmühlbach, Palatinate (now Rhein-Pfalz), Germany.

     Note: MAURER anglicized his name to MASON and died in Columbiana Co., Ohio in 1812.

WILL: John "MYRER" is listed among the heirs of John Nicholas BAKER in the settlement of his estate in 1766. Further records including the will of John MASON in Ohio prove that she was the daughter of J. N. BAKER.

The MAURER/MASON family moved to Fayette Co., PA about 1768 and lived in German Twp. About 1774, John MASON built Ft. Mason which served as an important defense of the frontier at the time of the American Revolution. The town of Mauertown, PA was laid off by members of this family in 1798. About 1802, John & Abbie MASON went with some of their children to Unity Twp., Columbiana Co., OH. A number of MASON descendants have been collecting data on the family and Dr. James FREED of Delaware, OH has generously shared this, including much of the above information. John Maurer was born circa 1730. He married Appolonia Becker, daughter of Johann Nicolaus Becker and Maria Appolonia Bayer, circa 1762 at Shenandoah Co., VA. John Maurer died in 1812 at Columbiana Co. (probably), OH.

     Katharina Karolina Maurer was born on 13 January 1815 at Scheidt, Saarland, Germany. She married Heinrich Ludwig Russy, son of Johann Christian Russy and Anna Magdalena Blatter, on 10 November 1835. Katharina Karolina Maurer died on 11 November 1878 at Neuweiler, Saarland, Germany, at age 63.
