He was a lifelong member of the Westminster Elks Lodge No. 2277, the VFW Molleville Post No. 467, American. Legion Carroll Post No. 31, and the American Defenders of Bataan-Corregidor. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Loyola College Alumni Association and St. John Catholic Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Brigid Willinger, Mary Claire Wheelock, Michael McGee, James McGee II, Patrick McGee, and Peter McGee, all of Baltimore, and Dennis McGee of Virginia; stepchildren Frederick Foley of Severna Park, Doree Bryant of Boca Raton, Fla; sister Betty Pierce of Sedona, Ariz; 11 grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St. Westminster, with the Rev. David Pietropaoli as celebrant. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery.
