Ellis Ray McKinley, 83, of Sellersburg, died Friday. May 29, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with interment in Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
A native of Borden, he graduated from Purdue University, was a retired engineer for Delco-Remy in Anderson. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jeffersonville and proudly served in World War II with the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Hector.
Survivors include three sons, Douglas McKinley, of Cincinnati, David McKinley, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Stephen McKinley, of Bloomington; a brother and sister, A. J. McKinley and JoAnn Faske, both of Borden; seven grandchildren; and three devoted daughter-in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Putnam McKinley; and parents Ray and Leila McKinley.
Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, is in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Putnam McKinley; and parents, Ray and Lelia McKinley.
Arrangements were handled by Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
He was buried in June 2009 at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Madison Co., IN.
