Memphis--Mo--Oscar W. McKinney, 62, died at 8:40 pm Wednesday in the Veterans hospital at Iowa City of a heart ailment. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the Gerth and Baskett Funeral Home with burial in the Camp Ground Cemetery.

Born March 27, 1900 in Greentop, he was the son of John and Eva Hatfield McKinney. On March 10, 1920 he married Amanda Paris, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Floyd of Mt. Sterling, Iowa, and Junior of Luray, a stepson Raymond Burnett of Farmington, several grandchildren, a brother, Roscoe of Williamstown, and three sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Steele and Mrs. Rosie Paris of Keokuk and Mrs Lilly Forsythe of Leon, Iowa.

He was buried in June 1963 at Campground Cemetery, Scotland Co., MO, Findagrave #88967421.

June J. Taylor

June J. Taylor, age 75, passed away July 28, 2006 in Bellingham. She was born March 29, 1931 in Saginaw, MI to Bernard and Elsie (Berg) McKinnon, the 4th youngest of nine children.

June enjoyed listening to music, reading and especially picking wild mushrooms. Her unique personality attracted many long term friends. Most will remember June’s unique and creative vocabulary.

She was preceded in death by husband James Taylor and infant son Richard Wing.

She is survived by daughters Sande (husband Monte) Leibrant of Maple Falls, WA and their children Monica and Chris, Linda (husband Dwight) Bates of Tukwila, WA and their children Kim and John, son Bob (wife Susan) Wing of Alabama, great-granddaughter Hailey Bates, sisters Elaine and Vivian, and brothers Howard, Patrick and Daniel.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Whatcom Hospice.
