Marion Middleton Rites Slated For Monday
Services for Marion Wesley Middleton, 309 E. Choctaw, will be 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Nazarene Church with Rev. Clarence Parker conducting.
Burial will be in the Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Survivors are his widow, Annie, three sons, Leo, Ralph and Oliver, all of Holdenville , one daughter, Pauline
Adams, Lamont, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Active Bearers will be Bill Ivestor, Jess Leach, Jess Brewer, Ed Brewer, Tom Westmoland and Leslie Walker. Honorary Bearers, Charlie Baldwin, Joe Dean, Marshall Justice, Abb O'Donnell, Meredith Robinson, Earl Roberts, Louis McDaniels and Rev. J.E. Campbell. Middleton was born in Faulkner County, Arkansas, October 15, 1877 and came to this community from Perry County, Arkansas in 1904. He had been in the trucking business for ;35 years and had retired a few years ago. He had been active in City affairs and a member of the City Council for 16 years.

Middleton Class Has Big Membership

One of the largest Sunday school classes of boys in the city is taught by M.W. Middleton at the Nazarene
church a report issued today shows.
During the last quarter the attendance totalled 426. The largest single attendance was 56. Easter Sunday the boys put on a singing program in addition to Bible work.

     Michael Glenn Middleton was born on 15 September 1964 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA. He was the son of John Richard Middleton and Anna Mary Wineberg. Michael Glenn Middleton died on 20 August 2001 at Galveston, Galveston Co., TX, at age 36. He was buried in August 2001 at Houston, Harris Co., TX.

     Myrtle Middleton was born on 23 August 1904 at Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN. She married Eugene E. Stockwell, son of Jesse Stockwell and Lucy May Hurst, on 11 January 1923 at Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN. Myrtle Middleton died on 16 November 1993 at Royal Oaks Nursing Home, Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN, at age 89.

Oliver (Slats) Middleton, age 75, of 218 South Bullitt, died Thursday at Holdenville General Hospital, at 10:40 a.m. He was born in Hughes County December 8, 1909. He had lived in this community most of his life. He was formerly employed as a drilling superintendent for Charlie Moore of Holdenville and later, the E. L. and M. Drilling Company. He retired in 1968.
He was married to Nellie E. Brown May 2, 1931 at Wewoka. Survivors include his widow, Nellie of the home, two sons, Wayne Middleton of Okmulgee and Gary
Middleton of Tulsa; Yvonne (Mrs.) Wayne Middleton, daughter-in-law. A sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Roland Adams, Tulsa. Four grandchildren, Sherry Dossey of Okmulgee and Tracy, Ginger and Jay Middleton and their mother Karen Middleton, of Tulsa. A number of nieces and nephews. One grandson, Keith Middleton died in 1974. He was the son of Wayne Middleton. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nazarene church in Holdenville with the pastor, Rev. W.S. Pirtle officiating. Burial will be in Holdenville cemetery under direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Friends desiring to make donation, may do so to the American Heart Association, in lieu of flowers, if they wish to.

RALPH MIDDLETON
Ralph Marion Middleton, 1105 South Broadway, died at Holdenville General Hospital, Friday at the age of 74. He was born West of Holdenville June 7, 1907. He had lived in Holdenville all his life. He worked at B & M Motor Co., located on West Main for 53 years. He bought the interest in the business
from Charlie Baldwin in 1938 and owned and operated the company. He married Opal Crittenden October 31, 1925. He joined the Nazarene Church in 1948 and was Sunday Superintendent for 29 years. He was City Councilman for 18 years. Survivors include his widow, Opal of the home; one son, Dale Middleton of Holdenville and daughter-in-law
Jean Middleton, of Holdenville; three grandchildren, Brad Middleton, Duncan; Lori and Mona Middleton, both of
Norman; two great-grandchildren, Mary Ann and Mark Bradley Middleton, Duncan; one sister, Pauline Adams,

Ralph Middleton and Charles Baldwin co-owners of McGuire-Baldwin Motor Co. announced Saturday their leasing of the Phillips "66" Service station 7th and Hinckley. They will continue active management of the McGuire-Baldwin firm, but will devote part of their time to
supervision of their newly-aquired service station. Winston Wiggs and James Petete will assist in operating the new location, to be known as B and M Service Station. A complete line of Lee tires and tubes, Phillips "66" gasoline, motor oils and greases will be featured at the station. Trailer parking space will be maintained. The McGuire-Baldwin Motor company is authorized local dealer for Oldsmobile sales and service. This firm also features complete auto repairing and a service station, dispensing Phillips products.

Stanley Middleton, 35, 205 S. Hinckley, died at 2:10 a.m. today while in a local Hospital. Services are pending upon arrival of relatives withe Mackey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Middleton who had been confined due to illness for the past year had been in ill health for the past seven years. Prior to his illness he was employed with the Seismograph Corporation, Tulsa. He was born January 14, 1918 in Holdenville and attended Holdenville schools. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife Veneta and two daughters; Saundra Ann and Janet Lou of ;the home address; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.W, Middleton, Holdenville; three brothers, Leo Middleton, Oliver Middleton and Ralph

Services for Stanley Middleton, 35, 205 S. Hinckley, will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. F. L. Nance officiating, assisting Rev. Nance will be Rev.
C. C. Johnson and Rev. W. C. Lovelace. Mr. Middleton who died at 2:10 a. m. Wednesday in a local Hospital had been ill for the past seven years. He had been in business since 1945 with his brother and father, operating the Middleton Transfer and Storage. Active bearers will be Horace Petete, Hugh Petete, Spencer Petete, Cecil Clift, Harold Samford and Carl

     Wandine Middleton was born on 14 December 1927 at Holdenvillle, Hughes Co., OK. She was the daughter of Leo Middleton and Carmen Ercel Hill. Wandine Middleton married Jesse Leon Russell on 25 November 1945.

     Wiley Allen Middleton was born on 12 November 1934. He was the son of Hoke Smith Middleton and Ernestine Windle. Wiley Allen Middleton died on 27 July 1941 at age 6. He was buried in July 1941 at Franconia Cemetery, Aliceville, Pickens Co., AL.

     William Carl Middleton was born on 8 July 1907. He was the son of James Abner Middleton and Lillian Nebraska Hollingsworth.

WILMA JEAN NORTH
Wilma Jean North, 119 North Walnut, died at her home Wednesday morning at the age of 61. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Denny Baylor and Meredith Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Holdenville Cemetery, under direction of Hudson Funeral Home. She was born in Holdenville March 1, 1926. She was reared in Holdenville and moved to Livingston, Tx. for six years before returning to Holdenville in 1981.
She was married to Robert V. North June 27, 1948 in Holdenville.
Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the home; one son Leo Earnest North, Shawnee; three daughters,
Bobbie Baldwin of Holdenville; and Debbie North, of Plains, Mont; her mother Carmen Middleton of
Holdenville; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Wandine Russell of Non; Reba Spoon, Lee's Summit, Mo., and
Naomi Moffitt, Brownsboro, Tx. a sister-in-law, Betty Daigle, LaPort, Tx; also several nieces and nephews.

     Minnie Miden was born in 1880 at Ohio.¹ She married James A. Coil, son of Cornelius Neal Coil and Abia Dorcas Hill, circa 1900, Four children born, three living as of 1910 census.¹

     Harvey Midkiff was born in November 1852 at Virginia (now WV).¹ He married Sarah Elvina (?) circa 1882.¹ Harvey Midkiff died after January 1920.

     Jesse A. Midkiff married Martha Ellen Spengler, daughter of George Madison Spengler and Helen Rebecca Hurn, in 1912. Jesse A. Midkiff died in 1915 at Florida.

     Ouida Midkiff was born on 26 February 1895 at Cabell Co. (probably), WV.¹ She was the daughter of Harvey Midkiff and Sarah Elvina (?)¹ Ouida Midkiff lived between 1900 and 1910 at McComas District, Cabell Co., WV.^1,2 She married David Wendel Burrus, son of Lafayette Burrus Jr. and Sarah Neilson Wendel, after April 1930, no children. Ouida Midkiff died on 22 June 1995 at Winona, Montgomery Co., MS, at age 100 Ouida Midkiff Burrus

Mrs. Ouida Midkiff Burrus, 100, resident of Winona and native of West Virginia, died of a stroke Saturday, July 22, 1995, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona.

Mrs. Burrus was a clothing specialist for the Extension Service at Mississippi State until she retired in 1947. She was the widow of David Webster Burrus and a communicant of Immanuel Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky and a charter member of the Winona Garden Club.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at the Immanuel Episcopal Church with Father Joseph Roland officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Rufus Gardner, E.F. Cleveland, Tom Ellsworth, Ellis Hart, Bill Fluker, Sonny Branch. Glenn Bourne and Barksdale Garner

Honorary pallbearer was George Harris, Sr.

     Michael David Miessen was born on 16 October 1952 at Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN. He was the son of Warren O. Miessen and Eileen Marie Dora. Michael David Miessen died on 24 October 2007 at age 55. He was buried in October 2007 at Riverside Cemetery, Cambridge City, Wayne Co., IN, Findagrave #165048216.

     Warren O. Miessen was born on 29 September 1926 at Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. He married Eileen Marie Dora. Warren O. Miessen died on 20 June 2010 at age 83 Obituary (Findagrave.com):
Warren O. Miessen 83, of Indianapolis, peacefully passed away June 20, 2010. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he graduated from Warren Central HS and served his country in the Navy during WWII. He attended classes at Purdue and retired as Environmental Director of the Marion County Health Center in 1992. He was previously employed with Reliance Electric, and Buehler Corp. Warren enjoyed bowling water skiing, playing cards and computer games. He was a member of American Legion Post #34.

Warren was preceded in death by both his parents, his loving wife of 62 years, Eileen Miessen; son, Michael D. Miessen and brother, Frederick T. Miessen. He is survived by a son, Jerry J. Miessen; sister, Shirley Cleveland; three grandsons, Thomas, Eric and Jesse Miessen; and one granddaughter, Teri Ann Miessen.

     Daisy Mikesell was born on 20 August 1870. She was the daughter of Daniel Mikesell. Daisy Mikesell married Benjamin Price, son of Abram Emmert Price and Elizabeth Stover, on 20 September 1888.¹

     John David Mikesell was born on 10 April 1942 at Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA. He was the son of Ralph John Mikesell and Lucille Alberta Cohea. John David Mikesell began military service U.S. Navy service. He died on 26 November 2007 at age 65

John was born April 10, 1942 at Cedar Rapids to Ralph and Lucille (Cohea) Mikesell. He served his nation in the US Navy and was honorably discharged September 8, 1961 and served in the Reserves until April 26, 1965.

On March 27, 1971 he married Becky Blough at Cedar Rapids. John was a Master Carpenter for over forty years and developed and taught the Carpentry Program at Anamosa State Penitentiary.

He is survived by his wife, Becky of Cedar Rapids, and their children, Blake Mikesell of Fairfax and Nicole (Marc) Pollock of Tiffin; his son, Jeff Mikesel of Las Vegas; his mother, Lucille Mikesell of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Ellah Mikesell and Hailey Pollock; his sister, Lillie Mikesell of Peakskill, NY; his uncle, Rev. William H. Cohea of Bangor, PA; his aunt, LaVertia Gaetz of Racine, WI; cousin Pamela Pelej of Racine, WI; and several other cousins.

John was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.

     Ralph John Mikesell was born on 17 June 1918 at Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA, various records show 1917 and 1918, however as of the January 1920 census, he was listed as age 1 7/12.¹ He was the son of Roland Albertrum Mikesell and Rose Hilma Peterson.¹ Ralph John Mikesell married Lucille Alberta Cohea, daughter of William Harvey Cohea and Lillian Amanda Williams, on 4 September 1938 at Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA. Ralph John Mikesell began military service WW II service, U.S. Army Air Corps. He died on 2 May 1988 at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA, at age 69.
