DIES IN LAWRENCEVILE
Mrs. Clara D. Molt-Murphy, 82, the former Mrs. Charles Molt, of this city, passed away Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Thorn, in Lawrenceville. She had been ill thirty days.
Funeral services were conducted in Lawrenceville Sunday afternoon, after which the remains were brought to Fairfield and laid to rest in the Maple Hill Cemetery beside Mr. Molt. Short services were held at the graveside.
Surviving are two sons, Clyde Molt, of Olney and Dr. Fred S. Molt, of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Thorn, of Lawrenceville, and two brothers, J.H. Sidwell of Fairfield (next line is illegible due to fold in paper), and two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Bath (?) and Mrs. E. E. Willards both of Greenville, Texas.
Mrs. Thorn was unable to attend the funeral, having been confined to the Good Samaritan hospital in Vincennes, Ind. for more than a month with two broken limbs suffered in a recent automobile accident.

She was buried in February 1941 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield, Wayne Co., IL.

Whyman, a homemaker who always put her children first, died of cancer Sunday, July 5, 1998, in her Northville home. She was 61. "She stayed at home and was a full-time mom until all of us children were grown," said State Rep. Deborah Whyman (R-Canton). "She worked part time to help when all three of us (children) were in college at the same time." Whyman said her mother's devotion extended to others. "At Thanksgiving, people who didn't have a place to go on the holiday were always welcome at our house." Mrs. Whyman retired as a data entry processor at Advanced Data Corp. in Livonia in 1995. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Northville. After her husband, Robert, retired about 10 years ago, the couple bought an Airstream trailer and traveled across the country with the Wally Byan Caravan Club.

Other survivors include two sons, David and Daniel, a sister and six brothers. Visitation was to be at 10 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church, 777 W. Eight Mile, Northville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the church, with burial in Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia. Memorials may be made to the University of Michigan Medical School, Oncology Research Department, 1500 E.
