Martha Ball Daggett, 81 passed away March 16th under Hospice Care. She was born in Bradford, PA and moved to Ocala from Ft. Myers in 1979. She was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church and enjoyed entertaining church members as well as friends and families with her home cooked meals. She had an uncanny way of drawing people to herself and making them feel like they had known her forever. Martha is predeceased by her husband of 54 years William Daggett and sister Betty Blaisdell of Bradford PA. She is survived by her son, Robert Daggett, daughter Joan Sabula and adopted son Donald Kruse all of Ocala. Grandchildren Claud and Kristin Allegood, Matthew and Melissa Sabula of Raleigh, NC and Mark and Julie Bennett of Rochester. Sister Isabel Emrich of Raleigh, Richard and Phyllis Daggett of Ocala and many nieces and nephew. A memorial service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2255 SE 38th St., Ocala on Monday, March 19th at 2PM. Martha will be greatly missed by her friends and family, but they all rejoice that she is now in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. R. Lawrence Ball, 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at Sunset Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas.

Born Sept. 1, 1913, in Toluca to Roscoe L. and Lucy Burgess Ball, he married Hildamae Parker on April 26, 1941, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Suzanne Holling; one son, Lawrence; one sister, Elizabeth Lambourn; and one brother, Kendall.

One brother preceded him in death.

He received his bachelor of arts degree in 1935 and his law degree in 1937, both from the University of Illinois.

He began his practice in Peoria in 1939, where he practiced with Clarence W. Heyl. In 1941, he formed a partnership with Lowell R. McConnell under the name of Ball and McConnell, where he practiced until 1944. He later formed an association with Oswald D. Vespa, with whom he practiced until 1969. He then was a sole practitioner until retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Peoria County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Burial will be in Wenona Cemetery in Wenona.

SARRETT - BALLARD
The marriage of Mr. Crockett Sarrett and Miss Anna Laura Ballard took place yesterday afternoon at three o'clock, at the home of the bride, 1905 High Avenue. It was witnessed by quite a number of relatives and friends. Rev. William A. Atchley, pastor of the Broadway Baptist Church, officiated. The groom is a well known businessman of Knoxville who has a fine river farm on the French Broad River in Sevier County. The bride is a charming young lady who has been a resident of Knoxville only a few years, coming to this place from Missouri, where she was born. The couple have many friends in Knoxville and Sevier County, who remembered the occasion with gifts. The bridal gift of the groom to the bride was a splendid home on Highland Avenue.
