As of 10 September 2001, Freddie G. Montoya was also known as Federico Guajardo Montoya; An "AMENDMENT TO CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH" (Texas Bureau of Vital Statistics Form VS-171) dated 10 SEP 2001, with original name spelled "Feserico Montolla" shows the corrected name to have been "Freddie Guarjardo Montoya", based on (a) an affidavit of his older sister Hilaria M. Kibler, and (b) a photocopy of his military service record. Apparently his original birth certificate was a cause of some problem, resulting in this correcting documentation. The censuses clearly show "Federico", and his mother's maiden name, as listed on public documents, was "Guajardo". DLB 2022.
