Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):
Mrs. Percilla Hoober, wife of James W. Hoober, met with a painful death on Thursday, Nov. 17th, by her clothing catching on fire. Mr. Hoober was in the room at the time, but is unable to tell just how it happened. Everything was done that medical skill could do, but of no avail. She died at 4:30 p. m. Thursday, Nov. 17th, aged 77 years, 3 months and 23 days. She was laid to rest Saturday, Nov. 19th. We cannot express our sorrow over the loss of our mother whom we loved so well. It is hard for us to realize that we shall no more see her smiling face. Her last words were, “I am all right”, when the good Lord ended her suffering without a struggle. She leaves a sorrowing husband, four sons and four daughters to mourn her loss.
Her remains were laid to rest in the Harper cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. M. Erb at the Mennonite church of which she was a member.
She was buried in November 1904 at Harper Cemetery, Harper, Harper Co., KS, Findagrave #100043779, unmarked grave.

His funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Henderson Universalist church. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Roberts Corners. Officers of Bayview lodge 905, F. & A. M., Henderson, conducted a Masonic memorial service at 8 p.m. at, the Carpenter-Stoodley funeral home.
Mr. Montague is survived by a son, Dr. Terry S. Montague, Henderson, superintendent of Jefferson county hospital; a grandson, Capt. Leonard A. Montague, stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base; a granddaughter, Mrs. Martin (Ann) Maurer, Baldwinsville, and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Montague was born November 25, 1871, son of Thomas D. and Edwina Fuller Montague. He was a descendant of one of Henderson's pioneer families. His grandfather, also named J. Aiken Montague, came here in 1815 from Pawlet, Vt.
He married Miss Harriette A. Terry on February 21, 1901, at the Henderson Universalist church, with Rev. George Adams, pastor, officiating. She died October 16, 1961.
Mr. Montague was graduated from Belleville Union academy in 1892. His first teaching position was in a Henderson district school. He later taught at Ellisburg and the old Northern Business school, Watertown.

In March, 1944, when the principal post at the local school became vacant with the resignation of Roger W. Bancroft, who accepted a teaching position in Orange county, Mr. Montague took over the job, although he was in his 70's and had been inactive as a teacher for 36 years.
He had been a member of the Henderson Universalist church, the grange and local Masonic organizations. He was buried on 16 February 1963 at Evergreen Cemetery, Roberts Corners, Jefferson Co., NY.
