Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Memories Mortuary for Mrs. Effie A. Mitchell of Colorado Springs who died Friday while vacationing in Sargent, Neb. The Rev. Jack G. Davis will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell a resident of Colorado Springs since 1927, was born Aug. 7, 1898 in Stafford, Kan., where she attended school. She was married on April 17, 1935 in Newton, Kan. Mrs. Mitchell, who was retired, was a former resident of Hutchinson and Wichita, Kan. She was affiliated with Bethany Baptist Church. Among the survivors are a granddaughter, Linda Bell of Texas; a sister, Lucy Johnson of Sargent; two brothers, Joe Morford of Castro Valley, Calif., and Leonard Morford of Colorado Springs; three step-daughters, Thelma Parsday of Colorado Springs, Blanche Parsday of Mexico and Leola Archutt of Ellicott; three step-sons, Marle and Vernon Mitchell of Kansas and Ralph Mitchell of Colorado Springs.
