Ann Elizabeth Moore was also known as "Hannah". She was born on 2 May 1845 at Indiana.2 She was the daughter of Armstrong Moore and Anna Hamilton. Ann Elizabeth Moore married James Orice Phetteplace on 1 January 1862 at Wisconsin. Ann Elizabeth Moore died on 11 November 1903 at age 58 Obituary (via Findagrave.com):
Hannah Eliza (Moore) Phetteplace was born in Indiana May 2, 1845 and died near Athol, Kansas, November 11, 1903.
From Indiana she came to Wisconsin where she was married to J. O. Phetteplace, to which union were born five children, four of whom are living: Leonard O. who lives near his parents near the Corvallis church. Winnie J. who lives with his parents, Mrs. F. S. Munsinger living southwest of Smith Center, and Mrs. Clarence Frazier, of Athol. Mrs. Phetteplace was a kind and loving woman, highly respected by her neighbors and dearly beloved by her husband and children. She has for eight years professed to be a Chirstain, and was until the time of her death a faithful member of the United Brethern [sic] church. She was always read for any good work she could do. In her death the church has been bereft of a willing worker, the children of a loving mother and the husband of a devoted wife, but their loss is her eternal gain. Her last illness was very brief and death came suddenly while she was visiting with friends near Athol. Her remains were taken to her home the day after her death. Funeral services were held, at the Corvallis U. B. church at 10 a. m November 13, the Rev. F. W. Bertschinger, officiating. Her favorite song "I hear thy welcome voice," was sung by the congrgation [sic] at the beginning of the service. The hymns, "We Shall Sleep but not Forever," "Dearest Sister Thou Hast Left Us," "Asleep in Jesus" were sung during the service. The fifth chapter of 2 Corinthians was read as the lesson, and the sermon was preached from Revelations 21-7. The remains were laid to rest in the Smith Center cemetery (which is probably Fairview Cemetery).
May he who overrules all things for our good help us to meet her again on the resurection [sic] morn.
Smith County Pioneer, November 19, 1903.
She was buried in November 1903 at Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, Smith Co., KS, Findagrave #72449161.
