Elizabeth Fern Engle, 86 of Pittsburg, KS died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at the Carrington Place in Pittsburg.

Mrs. Engle was born November 20, 1928 at Carthage, Missouri to George Burnett Mulford and Mary Evah (Seymour) Mulford.

She attended schools in Port Angeles, Washington-Dry Greek Elementary School and Roosevelt High School. She attended Western Washington College of Education in Wellington, Washington and Pittsburg State University.

Mrs. Engle moved to Pittsburg in 1965. She was employed at Helio Aircraft Company from 1962 until retiring in 1984.

She married Joseph Engle in 1972 in Pittsburg, KS; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2001.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a Past Matron of Rob Morris Chapter #74, Order of the Eastern Star, she was also involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include a sister, Shirley Kinsella of Auburn, WA, two step-daughters, Beverly Engle Peterson & husband David, who provided for her care, Barbara Engle Todd & husband Loren both of Pittsburg; four grandchildren: Jennifer Wilbourn Huff & husband C.J. of Joplin, MO, David Longan & fiancé Haley Munch of Pittsburg, Scott Simmons of Pittsburg, Lee Ann Simmons Ryan & husband James of Pittsburg; five great grandchildren Savannah, Keaton & Julianne Huff and Haley Eschelbrenner, Hayden McGuire, Cooper Ryan and Cruz Ryan; along with one nephew, three nieces, a special niece Tracy Thomas Fry and two sisters-in-law Tolly Harris Gore and Nancy Harris Cashero,

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Louise Williams.

Memorial graveside services will be 3pm, Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Mark Chambers officiating.      Sandra K. Mulford was born on 23 January 1956 at Charleston, Charleston Co., SC. She was the daughter of Robert Eugene Mulford and Jo Ann Mardis. Sandra K. Mulford died on 26 July 2016 at Hebron, Licking Co., OH, at age 60.

     Arthur Boyd Mulkey was born on 12 February 1922 at Cherokee Co., NC, WW II draft registration. He was the son of Frank Walter Mulkey and Nellie Estella Thomasson. Arthur Boyd Mulkey lived in 1942 at Rural Route #3, Murphy, Cherokee Co., NC, WW II draft registration. He began military service on 19 January 1943 at Camp Croft, South Carolina, Enlisted, U.S. Army. He married Mary Eileen Clifton, daughter of Elmer Francis Clifton and Dorothy Mae Windle, on 22 May 1948 at Indiana. Arthur Boyd Mulkey died on 19 September 1996 at Clark Co., OH, at age 74.      Charlotte Catherine Mulkey was born circa 1830 at Ashe Co., NC.¹ She married Matthew Neil Ryburn on 8 March 1848 at Plano, Kendall Co., IL.

     Catherine Mull was born on 7 November 1833 at Washington Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of John Mull and Lucinda Davis.¹ Catherine Mull married Jeremiah Lewis Payne, son of Lewis Payne and Susannah Dawalt, on 23 March 1852 at Washington Co., IN. Catherine Mull died on 1 February 1913 at Franklin Twp., Washington Co., IN, at age 79 OBITUARY - The Salem Leader or Democrat; after 1 February 1913:

     Catharine Payne was born Nov. 7th, 1833, and departed this life, Feb. 1st, 1913, aged 79 years, 3 months and 25 days. She was married to Jeremiah L. Payne, March 25, 1852. To this union were born seven children, six girls and one boy, five of whom preceded her to the great beyond.
     She leaves to mourn her loss two children, Lucinda C. Walker and Samuel O. Payne; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, three sisters, Susan Burkett, of Illinois, Nancy Ashabraner, of California, Louisa Beeson, of Jeffersonville, Ind., one brother, Robert J. Mull, at South Boston, Ind., and a host of other relatives and friends.
     After lingering for nearly three months with old age and heart trouble, she passed quietly away. She was a good friend and neighbor, ever ready to lend a helping hand in sickness at any time.
     The funeral was conducted by Rev. Ben Taylor, assisted by Rev. Scott Applegate, at her son’s where she always made her home. A large crowd attended at 2 o’clock, Feb. 2nd.

(probably), WV.¹ He was the son of James Mulledy and Mary Elizabeth Lewis.¹ George Mulledy married Bertha Edna Pownall, daughter of John Albert Pownall and Parthenia Alice Lewis, after April 1910. George Mulledy died on 9 February 1968 at Romney, Hampshire Co., WV, at age 86.

     Harold F. Mulledy was born on 8 June 1914 at Hampshire Co. (probably), WV.¹ He was the son of George Mulledy and Bertha Edna Pownall.¹ Harold F. Mulledy married Mabel A. (?). Harold F. Mulledy died in January 1981 at Hampshire Co., WV, at age 66 dates per SSDI.

     Hazel R. Mulledy was born in 1916 at Hampshire Co., WV.¹ She was the daughter of George Mulledy and Bertha Edna Pownall.¹

     James Mulledy was born on 5 May 1852 at Hampshire Co. (probably), VA (now WV).¹ He married Mary Elizabeth Lewis on 12 April 1875 at Hampshire Co., WV.¹ James Mulledy died on 16 January 1915 at age 62.

     Lena Mulledy was born in July 1894 at Hampshire Co., WV.¹ She was the daughter of James Mulledy and Mary Elizabeth Lewis.¹ Lena Mulledy married Clarence Taylor Pownell, son of John Albert Pownall and Parthenia Alice Lewis, after January 1920.

     Lillian G. Mulledy was born circa 1921 at Hampshire Co., WV.¹ She was the daughter of George Mulledy and Bertha Edna Pownall.¹

     Ralph V. Mulledy was born circa 1924 at Hampshire Co., WV.¹ He was the son of George Mulledy and Bertha Edna Pownall.¹

     Agnes Veronica Mullen was born on 14 October 1864 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, per death certificate. 1900 census shows 1867, info indicates father born Ireland, mother born Connecticut.² She was the daughter of Patrick Mullen and Mary Cochran.¹ Agnes Veronica Mullen married Edward Gebhart, son of Michael Gebhart and Rachel Weidner, on 19 November 1885. Agnes Veronica Mullen died on 21 August 1935 at Montgomery Co., OH, at age 70. She was buried on 24 August 1935 at Davids Cemetery, Kettering, Montgomery Co., OH, Findagrave #42102459.

     Ann Adair Mullen was born on 22 November 1921 at Marion Co., WV. She was the daughter of John Vincent Mullen and Dorothy Mills Adair. Ann Adair Mullen died on 27 March 2007 at Wheeling, Marshall Co., WV, at age 85 Dates per SSDI, last residence Wheeling.

     Catherine Cornelia Mullen was born on 12 March 1918 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV. She was the daughter of John Vincent Mullen and Dorothy Mills Adair. Catherine Cornelia Mullen died on 24 December 1995 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV, at age 77 Dates per SSDI, last residence Vienna, WV.

     Jesse L. Mullen was born in 1891 at Ohio.¹ He married Lavina Brunner circa 1915.¹ Jesse L. Mullen lived on 5 April 1930 at Crane Twp., Paulding Co., OH, in his parents' home, farming.¹ He died in 1979.      John Vincent Mullen was born on 16 July 1895 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV.¹ He was the son of Michael Mullen and Katherine Laven.¹ John Vincent Mullen married Dorothy Mills Adair, daughter of Richard Harrison Adair and Cornelia May Gilbert, on 24 May 1917 at Wood Co., WV. John Vincent Mullen died on 4 March 1979 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV, at age 83. He was buried in March 1979 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV.

     Joseph Nelson Mullen was born on 10 April 1884 at Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He married Cortie Corddia Fitch. Joseph Nelson Mullen died on 25 December 1971 at Conneaut Lake, Crawford Co., PA, at age 87.

     Margaret Cordelia Mullen was born on 8 February 1938 at Meadville, Crawford Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Neil Nelson Mullen and Dorothy Lenora South.¹ Margaret Cordelia Mullen died on 16 July 2004 at age 66.

     Neil Nelson Mullen was born on 23 September 1911 at Meadville, Crawford Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Joseph Nelson Mullen and Cortie Corddia Fitch.¹ Neil Nelson Mullen married Dorothy Lenora South, daughter of George Franklin South and Margaret Marie Wright, on 9 July 1936 at Ashtabula Co., OH. Neil Nelson Mullen died on 27 February 2001 at Meadville, Crawford Co., PA, at age 89.

     Orval H. Mullen was born on 22 February 1922 at Paulding Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Jesse L. Mullen and Lavina Brunner.¹ Orval H.
