Elta Louise Munsinger lived in 1937 at Green Bay, Brown Co., WI, Living in Green Bay, WI at time of father's death 1937. Per Idelle Campsure, Elta took a teaching position at Norway, Michigan during the iron ore mining boom there. Art began working in the mines, then learned telegraphy at the railroad station and became a railroad employee. They relocated to Green Bay for his career with the Chicago and Northwestern line.      Evangeline Munsinger was born in June 1852 at Lorain Co., OH.1 She was the daughter of Charles Munsinger and Electa Northrup. Evangeline Munsinger married John Casada Noel, son of Quin Martin Noel and Sarah Casada, on 29 January 1869 at Sidney, Fremont Co., IA, It appears that the marriage of John Noel and Evangeline Munsinger was possibly done secretly, inasmuch as they reported they were "single" in the 1870 census, and her surname was "Munsinger", when they were both living in the Charles Munsinger household. In the 1910 census, Evangeline reported six children born, five still living at that time.

Evangeline Munsinger lived on 9 June 1900 at Fourteenth Street, Denver, Arapahoe Co., CO.1 She married James B. Buchanan circa 1902 at Denver (probably), CO. Evangeline Munsinger died in 1933.

Frank Munsinger died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chas. Shuler, just south of town, early Monday morning, April 24th. A few days before he was driving a disc in the field when the team ran away, with the result that he was quite badly hurt. His death was probably due largely to the injuries received then. He was a little over fifty years of age. He leaves a wife, four girls, one son, an aged father, four brothers and three sisters.

The funeral services were held from the Christian church the following Tuesday afternoon, conducted by D. J. Poynter and the body laid at rest in Rose Hill.

Galen M. 'Gus' Munsinger

Galen M. "Gus" Munsinger, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, in La Crosse.

He was born March 17, 1925, near Harlan in Smith County, to Roy and Emma (McClain) Munsinger. He was a 1942 graduate of Harlan High School and obtained a bachelor's degree in education from York College, York, Neb., in 1949. In 1953, he received a master's degree in school administration from Fort Hays State University.

He married Ivalee Mizell on Nov. 3, 1949, in Clayton. He was involved in teaching, coaching and administration at schools in Densmore, Long Island, Jetmore and Dighton prior to retirement and moving to Hays in 1983. During the World War II, he entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1943, obtaining the rank of sergeant before receiving an honorable discharge in March 1946.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion for many years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hays; a son, Terry Munsinger and wife, Vicki, Wichita; two daughters, Debra McClellan and husband, Steve, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cynthia Munsinger, Hays; a brother, Larry Munsinger and wife, Celeste, San Mato, Texas; four grandchildren, Matthew McClellan, Denver, Jennifer McClellan-Fukuda and husband, Kenn, St. Paul, Minn., Trent Munsinger, Seattle, and Katelyn Munsinger, Wichita; a great-grandson, Matthew Paul O'Hara Jr; a nephew, Todd Munsinger; and a niece, Renee Williamson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Hays with military honors by Hays American Legion and VFW; inurnment will be Saturday in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the medical fund of Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas or First United Methodist Church, Hays, in care of the Hays Memorial Chapel, 20th and Pine.

GEORGE B.MUNSINGER-

George B. Munsinger was born in Ohio May 16, 1861, and died at Omaha April 1, 1932, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 15 days. On April 16, 1885, he was united in marriage to Julia Newton at Independence, Iowa. In 1891 they came to Table Rock where they made their home until the recent death of Mrs. Munsinger. To this union six children were born: Don, Elinor, Ray and Roy having preceded their parents in death, Leslie at Omaha and Meres at Table Rock.

Those who mourn his departure are his two sons, two brothers, Will at Scottsbluff and Rollo at Albion, and three sisters, Mrs. James Wallick, Mrs. Mattie Foreman and Anna, all of Albion.

Mr. Munsinger was taken to the hospital at Omaha for treatment but grew worse and died Friday morning at about 11 o'clock. The body was brought to Table Rock for burial beside the remains of his wife who preceded him in death only a few weeks ago.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Monday by Rev. Ted Shephard, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Humboldt, assisted by Rev. W. E. Caldwell, pastor of the Methodist congregation.

Mr. Munsinger had been a resident of Table Rock for about forty years, has always been a hard worker and devoted to his family. The surviving children and other relatives have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

George Carl Munsinger lived on 22 June 1900 at Rome Twp., Jones Co., IA, single, farming.2 He married Icey Craig on 20 August 1910 at Sebastian Co., AR; No children. Icey was previously married to a Kagen, and was listed as a widow, living in Ft. Smith, on the April 1910 federal census. She also had no children from that marriage, per the census listing.

George Washington Munsinger was born on 31 May 1842 at Russia Twp., Lorain Co., OH. He was the son of John Christian Munsinger and Sarah Fowl. George Washington Munsinger began military service Served as private in Co. "C", 176th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry during Civil War. He married Thursa Frances Knickerbocker, daughter of Stephen Knickerbocker and Betsey E. Kendeigh, on 1 June 1863 at Oberlin, Lorain Co., OH. George Washington Munsinger lived in 1880 at Center Twp., Smith Co., KS.1 He lived on 18 June 1900 at Wild Cat Twp., Elk Co., KS, farming.2 He lived in 1912 at Moline, Elk Co., KS, Per article on John Munsinger's 100th birthday, in the "Topeka Capital". He died on 16 September 1922 at Moline, Elk Co., KS, at age 80. He was buried in September 1922 at Moline Cemetery, Moline, Elk Co., KS, Findagrave #19718584. "Uncle George was a mason. He built Uncle Will's house at Smith Center."

George also apparently farmed and worked in a lumber mill at various times during his life, per his military pension application.
