Elizabeth Jane Musick was born on 14 February 1836. She married Josiah J. Richards in 1855. Elizabeth Jane Musick died on 26 March 1913 at age 77

Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):

The death of Mrs. Eliza Jane Richards occurred Wednesday night at 11:10 o'clock following an illness of several months, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Eugene Richey, on North Kickapoo street, with whom she made her home. The cause of death was apoplexy.

Eliza Jane Musick, daughter of Samuel Musick and Elizabeth Bird Musick, was born Feb. 14, 1836, on her father's farm near Middletown, Ill. Her father, Samuel Musick, was on of the pioneers of this county, and built and owned the first bridge, a toll bridge, ever built across Salt creek, the right to do so having been secured from the legislature by Abraham Lincoln. He also built the old fort to which the early settlers used to repair when attacked by the Indians.

In 1885 [1855], at the age of 19, she was married to Josiah J. Richards, son of Joseph and Nancy Powell Richards, and the newly married couple went to housekeeping on a farm seven miles west of Lincoln. to this union were born eight children, all of whom survive. In 1880, Mr. and Mrs. Richards moved to a farm near York, Neb. Here Mr. Richards died on Oct. 9, 1893.

In 1897, Mrs. Richards, with her youngest daughter and son, moved back to Lincoln, where she has resided ever since. For the past three years she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Richey, at whose home she died. Mrs. Richards was a member of Trinity Episicopal church, becoming a communicant in 1901.

Early in December, Mrs. Richards suffered a slight stroke of paralysis, but had partially recovered. At this time her three children living out of town were all here and spent a happy Christmas with her. Last Tuesday night, she complained of illness and her daughter, Mrs. Richey, left her for a moment to get some medicine. When she returned she found her mother unconscious, her head and shoulders resting on a chair by the bed. She had evidently raised up and suffered a stroke of apoplexy. A physician was called, but said that she was beyond medical aid. She remained in this comatose state until the end of Wednesday night.

A devoted mother, a true Christian woman, loved by all who knew her, she leaves to mourn her loss the following children: Mrs. Henrietta Wendell, Mrs. Robert Humphrey, Mrs. E. J. Richey, Lot Richards and Roy Richards, all of this city, and A. D. Richards, of Kearney, Neb., Straut Richards, Charleton, Neb., and Mrs. J. V. Gardner, of Wichita, Kans., and one brother Lewis Musick, of McFall, Mo., besides friends throughout the city and county.

The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Eugene Richey at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. J. C. White officiating. The body will then be taken to York, Neb., where it will be interred in the Council Church yard, by the side of her husband.

-- Thu, Mar 27, 1913, Lincoln, Ill.

She was buried in March 1913 at Council Cemetery, York, York Co., NE, Findagrave #65719845.
