Rita Noblin Angel, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was married to her beloved husband, Rex Angel, for 60 years. Born in Phenix, VA on February 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Richard Noblin and Daisy Seckman Noblin.

In her early adult life, Rita graduated from Phillips Business School and enjoyed her work supporting Dr. Walker Sydnor, DDS. She supported her daughters as they pursued horseback riding, dance, piano, gymnastics, violin (to name a few) and was kind and generous to all who entered the family home at 5818 Apache Lane. Some days there were warm cookies waiting for her girls when they got home from school, and her daughters can’t remember how many times they were told, “Your Mom is SO NICE!” She was also a longtime active member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church, where she enjoyed lifelong friendships and many opportunities to serve the church and community.

In August 2015, Rita moved to Minnesota to live near her daughter Alice and family. Her three Minnesota grandsons will cherish those months when Grandma Angel was nearby.
